Today I am back with Day 6 of a 12 Days of Christmas Series and it is all about holiday cheers! What can I say? I got a little carried away in our bar this year and I just love how festive it is in here. I shared a few snippets of this in yesterday’s full home tour post {you can read that here in case you missed it} but this space is so cute I think it deserves it’s own post!
I love finding new ways to use what I have on hand for Christmas every year. It really does force me to think creatively and the greatest part about Christmas decorating is that you don’t have to live with it very long. I think that is why I enjoy it so much! I can use colors and whimsical items that wouldn’t normally work in my home.
So let’s take a closer look!
When I was wandering in Hobby Lobby and spotted this pompom tree- it just spoke to me. I really try not to buy lots of new Christmas stuff every year but I still seem to pick up new things here and there and this colorful thing was just the thing I didn’t know I needed! Once I got it home and set it up in here, the rest of the little details came together.
Then I just dug around in the tubs for a few more things to add. This aqua Nutcracker was from my Mom a few years ago- we call him Sir Elton because he’s got lots of bling and doesn’t his outfit just look like something Elton John would rock?
The various bottle trees were both also from a few years ago. As I was setting them up, I was trying to think of a fun way to give them some height and a stand. Ding Ding Ding- Moscow Mule copper mugs for the win! I already had a set of these in the cupboard. The copper makes it so festive!
The final thing I added for this little space are these adorable acrylic stir sticks. I popped into our local Swoozies (a gift store) and was looking for Christmas options. But when I saw these, I thought they were even better because they work great for Christmas but can be used all year.
The bottle of Veuve champagne is technically a hostess gift that I have on hand but it’s just too pretty not to set here. And of course it got a festive pink bow.
Now we just need to have a party don’t you think?
And here is a wider view- on the opposite wall you can see how I hang a garland and add our sweet Christmas cards. I just love walking by this garland and seeing all of the precious families and friends.
