And just like that- it’s CHRISTMAS TIME! Which means it’s officially time to wear all of the fun and festive things hanging in your closet. And today I am popping in with a super simple idea to help you get organized for the next few weeks. If you are new around here, I like to share 20 Minute Organizing ideas to tackle around the house (you can catch up on all of them here). Today it is all about getting you holiday party ready with the clothes you already have in your closet!
With only one month to wear all the fun holiday clothes, I wanted to be sure I didn’t miss an opportunity to pull something fun from my closet when a holiday party or event comes around. So I spent a few minutes before Thanksgiving pulling all of the fun and festive things in my closet.
And here was the result:
It didn’t take long to pull the plaids, sequins and sparkles. The furs, the velvets and the bows. The reds and the burgundies and all the shades of pink in between. I definitely didn’t find it all at first pass and am glad I took the time to dig a little deeper because there really is a limited time to wear some of these things.
Once I had all of the clothing pulled out, I went ahead and pulled out a few pieces of jewelry so I could easily see what I have that is fun and festive. This way it’s even easy to dress up a simple sweater or blouse!
Then I pulled a few pairs of shoes to add to the mix…
And of course my beloved vintage plaid handbag is front and center along with a couple of festive clutches.
My closet is officially December ready!
