Phew! What a weekend. We had a houseful of Florida family evacuate here and school was cancelled here yesterday and today. I am happy to report that all of my Florida family was fortunate and no one has any major damage to their home and everyone is back down in Florida safe and sound. Thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted.

Every fall when the Pottery Barn catalog arrives I love flipping through the catalog for some new fall and Halloween inspiration. While I usually don’t end up purchasing anything, I always end up with some new inspiration! I just love what their stylist come up with for their photo shoots for the holidays.

This year when I spotted their Copper Candy Cauldron I was intrigued. I love copper, especially this time of year. I love candy. I love Halloween. So this item was right up my alley.

But of course, I don’t love the $150 price tag. So I set out to make my own version.

SUPPLIES NEEDED FOR HALLOWEEN COPPER CANDY CAULDRON

Plastic Orange Halloween Candy Bucket
Spray Paint: Copper and Oil Rubbed Bronze
Banana Stand or other iron holder

The plastic orange Halloween Candy buckets are usually around a buck at Target or Walmart. Or courses, I already had the copper spray paint on hand. As far as the stand, I found this iron candle doo-dad at the goodwill but am thinking any sort of banana holder or similar type stand would work and are a dime a dozen at a thrift store.

STEPS TO MAKE HALLOWEEN COPPER CANDY CAULDRON

Step 1:

Paint the orange Halloween candy bucket with copper spray paint. Be sure to fill the inside with newspaper so it doesn’t get drippy and splotchy inside.

Step 2:

Paint the iron holder with Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint.
