Last week I cohosted a Galentine mahjong lunch and it was so fun to get some ladies together for a little lunch and a few round of mahjong! I had the idea to put this together a few weeks back and asked my friend to cohost with me. It came together super easy with a few texts and I think everyone was happy to have a reason to get together.
Here are some snapshots from our afternoon:
DECOR
The kitchen island became the serving buffet line and we had plenty of pretty flowers around. They all came from Trader Joes’s- my friend did such a great job putting them together.
MENU
We kept the menu super simple with a big salad, chicken salad croissant sandwiches, a quiche and fruit…
and Valentine’s Day desserts are always a good idea!
GAME TABLES
I set up two folding card tables in our living room flanking the double doors. I just love the mahjong game set up on a table- it’s so fun and pretty. I had those cute heart dishes and placed them in the corners with some treats.
I had the blue and white tablecloth and grabbed the other one from Amazon. I love that I have two table set ups now and can easily host this again!
This is the Amazon tablecloth. It’s a 90 inch round option which oddly worked perfectly on my square table.
It was fun to squeeze this in on a warm February afternoon and have an excuse to get some Galentines together!
XO-
Heather
Tell me about the rug?
Can it be used year round?
