Sometimes things don’t go as planned… and you just have to improvise and make the best of it! We were all set to head to Hilton Head last Saturday for our annual trip but unfortunately we had to cancel at the last minute due to some personal stuff that popped up. But we definitely made the most of it and had a great week around Atlanta instead.
So grab your coffee and let’s chat – it’s time for our weekly Front Porch Coffee Talk!

First up, have you heard of the brand Tuckernuck? I. Am. Obsessed. It’s like J. Crew met Vineyard Vines and had an adorable online boutique baby. Their clothes inspire “discover, fun and nostalgia”. Many of their pieces are more expensive than my budget allows, but I did just order this black top and can’t wait to wear it tonight! But the main reason I am sharing is because I love looking through their website to see how they put outfits together and pair different pieces. It’s great for some Wearable Wardrobe inspiration to just mix things up I already own!
We crossed off another item on the Summer Bucket List and visited the Atlanta History Center for Father’s Day. What a fun surprise when we walked in and it was a free admission day. Happy accident! I snapped this picture (even though it is a bit morbid) because it is the article from 1962 behind the book The Swan House. I love reading historical fictions, and it is always interesting to learn more history about the books I’ve read. If you haven’t read it, definitely add it to your list! I actually just got the second one in the series called The Dwelling Place and can’t wait to read it!
Guess who took his training wheels off? Last Saturday he said he thought he was ready… and he was! Such a big boy. In other news, he will be five next week. FIVE. Don’t mind me crying big mama tears over here in the corner. ALL THE FEELS.
Target is having a great Buy one, Get One 50% off sale! The sale runs through Saturday night and includes lots of great summer items including the ones I am wearing below. I also have these waterproof sandals that I have been wearing on repeat.
Speaking of Target, I snagged this cute clutch. It’s only $12.99 but I think it looks much more high end. Super cute and I love the off white neutral color with the pop of orange!

Have any of you ever used Colleen Rothschild products on your face? Everyone I know that uses them absolutely raves about them! If you do, I’d love to hear more about which products you can’t live without…I’ve been trying some new products lately but haven’t quite landed on a skin care routine that I love yet.
Last but not least, look what we put up in the backyard this week. The boys are loving it! If you have a tent on hand, definitely add it to the list of things to do this summer! The only downside is that they are begging to sleep out there… um… no…. the humidity is 100% right now so I will gladly sleep in my air conditioned bedroom until fall.
Happy weekend friends!
xoxo-

How fun to set a tent up! My boys would love that too! And I’ve been wanting to try Colleen Rothschilds products for a long time now. Thanks for sharing some of your moments from the week!
