Hey friends! Yay for FrIDaY! How is your week going? Any fun plans this weekend? We have been doing Saturday family hikes the past couple of weekends and have another one planned for this weekend. So happy the boys are finally old enough to really be able to “hang” on these types of adventures. Oh and we will of course be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday since I have a couple of football obsessed boys. As with all past years, I will be mostly focusing on food and decor. 🙂
Alright, it’s Friday my peeps so grab your coffee and meet me on the porch for our Front Porch Coffee Talk .

I got a wild hair last weekend and decided it was high time to refresh the ol’ blog. Sounds like a riveting Friday night, huh? 🙂 It felt great to freshen up some images and also try to better organize the blog content. Turns out I have written 814 posts (whoa) and haven’t always been great about keeping them organized. Yikes! I hope to keep making content more streamlined so that it’s easier to find old posts. Since I have been busy organizing the house I guess it only makes sense to organize the blog too! I don’t say it enough but I am so thankful for this blog and for each of you that come to read and check in here! It is truly an honor.
My friend sent me this post the other day and I got choked up. There is always a Nerf dart or two strewn about the house and I barely even notice them anymore. But this really just reminds me that these are the days…and they are fleeting…
It’s the little things in life! When we visited our besties over New Years Eve in Charlotte, she had made some cranberry juice ice cubes to make festive cocktails. I was so glad she reminded me that I had one of these silicone ice cube makers! (linking a similar option here) We made some grapefruit cubes for some drinks last weekend and had a few leftover. I have been “treating” myself to a grapefruit ice cube with my water this week. It is helping me drink more water so that is a win for me!
We had a magical sunrise this week and the entire house was glowing! So we ran outside to see it and I snapped this picture. February vibes!
Target dress for the win! This one is under $30 (plus an extra 10% off!) and I just love the collar and sleeve details. I would say if you are between sizes, size down. I’m planning a big Target dress round up for next week but couldn’t resist sharing this one today… and all women’s retail is currently 10% off.
As I mentioned, we recruited some of our friends to join and have done family hikes the past two weekends. First we did Kennesaw Mountain- one mile up and one mile down. Then last weekend we did Stone Mountain (pictured below) – which is also one mile up and one mile down. All the kids did great and it felt so good to get outside and explore! Love these little local adventures to mix things up.
Speaking of adventures, we booked a YURT! As my friend and I were descending our trek last weekend we decided we needed to take the crew glamping! So I made it my MISSION to find availability. Apparently everyone else had our idea too because most Yurt campsites in Georgia were booked until the summer. (ain’t no one gonna be yurting in July around here ha) But I found one- and it’s even on a little pond! So excited. Have you ever been?

Heather!!
I love the pictures that you post of your family. Your boys look so happy and so animated. It looks like they can barely contain their happiness and excitement to be still for a photo. You are doing a great job Mama.
Much love,
Jennifer Polak (Adam’s Aunt)

Aw! Hi Aunt Jennifer! Thanks for the sweet note. Yes, these boys are such a blessing to us and I appreciate the kind words! You should see them with A & A- the four of them are like cousins together. We’ve convinced Adam to join us hiking tomorrow. 🙂 xoxo- Heather
