Hello hello and HAPPY OCTOBER! Phew we made it to another weekend! Admittedly, I’ve been a little out of sorts between having a kid home unexpected for virtual learning (he’s back in school now and the entire class is healthy and all good!), having a girl’s weekend last weekend, trying to wrap up the LEGO Building Nook and having a broken phone the past week. Oh and we finally got the massive pine tree that got hit by lightning over the summer removed this week which was quite an ordeal (and one that the kids loved to watch). But I’m back in the swing of things now and just in time for another weekend. LOL. This week flew by and it’s already time for another Front Porch Coffee Talk, where we get to pretend we are sitting on the front porch together just chatting about whatever is on our minds. So grab your coffee and let’s “chat” sweet friends!
FALL TACO TUESDAY
It’s October which means it’s time to pull out the crock pot! Do you feel the same? I am on the hunt for a new Chicken Tortilla Soup or any awesome Mexican fall recipes. Do you have a favorite? If so, let’s taco ’bout it down in the comments!
THESE ARE THE DAYS
Want a glimpse into what the hours of 3-6pm look like for me every afternoon? See why I need some crockpot recipes?! 🙂 And yes- that is a child spray painting a chair in the grass. What can I say… I am teaching the whole crew the power of a can of spray paint!
HALLOWEEN DECOR COUNTDOWN
The clock struck October and our street is already haunted! I sure do love my neighborhood- we all love Halloween! Although we are not sure what Halloween will look like this year, I will definitely still be haunting the house. I am working hard to get the house organized today so I can pull the tubs out and get to work this weekend. (does anyone else feel like the house has to be clean before you can decorate for holidays?) To see last year’s Halloween Front Porch- click here. Do you decorate for Halloween?
GIRLS WEEKEND!
Speaking of neighbors- here are a few! As I mentioned, I spent last weekend in Sea Island with this awesome group of neighbor friends and it was so wonderful for the soul. We talked and talked and laughed and laughed and I came home and could barely speak a word for a full 24 hours from laughing and talking for three days straight! I’ve been to Sea Island several times, but never with just girls and never this time of year. Highly recommend! 🙂 If you aren’t familiar with Sea Island- you can read all about it here in my trip recap.
TARGET FALL BLOUSE
I have already mentioned this top but I love it so much it is worth mentioning again! think I have now worn this blouse weekly since it arrived. It is only $20 bucks and really just adorable.
CUTE FALL DRESS
Speaking of Target finds, this cute dress is a good one for fall. I love the midi- length and the long sleeves for cooler temps.

FITNESS DIARY- UPDATE
Whomp, whomp- I completely fell off the fitness train this week. And you know what, that’s ok! I was all out of sorts and I am giving myself grace. I did do lots of walking but everything else slipped. I am starting back with week six this week and going to put the lost week behind me.
