Happy holiday weekend my friends! One of the best holidays and definitely one of the best weekends of summer. Although to be honest I am sitting here wondering how we are already half way through summer and the year. But I digress…grab your coffee and let’s chat! It’s time we talk about everything and anything. CLICK HERE TO CATCH UP ON ALL FRONT PORCH COFFEE TALKS.
Anything extra fun planned for the holiday weekend? Read on to hear what’s happening around here!
FOURTH FRONT PORCH
Couldn’t resist a little front porch festive update for the holiday weekend! Love this simple look for our porch. Just some bunting and a few flags in the fern!
And this dress is a new Amazon find! LOVE IT! The length is great- even for a tall girl like me and it is comfy. The top has ties on the shoulder which is a super cute detail. SHOP THE DRESS BY CLICKING HERE
And of course I will be trotting out my vintage straw flag bag this weekend. What a fun thrift store score a few year ago!
I have been selected as one of fifteen of the 2021 Frogtape Paintover Challenge participants- you can read all about it here! Each of us will be making over a room in our home and then the winner will not only receive a cash prize… they will be able to donate $10,000 to a charity of their choice. What a blessing that would be. Much more to come soon, but I might be asking for some votes from you. 🙂
JACKSON HOLE BOUND
We leave Monday for our big summer adventure out to Jackson Hole Wyoming. To say I am excited is an understatement. This trip has been months in the making. It has been watered down a bit due to covid, but I think the result of us just diving deep in Jackson (instead of a broader road trip) is actually a blessing! I hope to share some tidbits of our daily adventures so be sure to follow along over on Instagram.
This photo of the Teton Mountains was taken on our last trip out in 2015. So so pretty!
WHEN YOUR BABY TURNS 7
With every year that passes I am just reminded at how quickly this whole ride is! S-E-V-E-N. Last Friday our “baby” turned 7 and we celebrated with a big birthday bash… but Brooks style! Instead of a big party he opted for a small crew to go out for an experience day so we hit up Chuck E Cheese, a trampoline park and then ended our bash at the pool. I had ordered these t-shirts for the boys to wear and ordered a few sizes since I wasn’t sure what would fit. Well wouldn’t you know that the largest size fit me and when the boys asked me to wear it- I couldn’t resist. #BOYMOMFOREVER
To my darling baby boy- you are such a fun person to spend time with. Thank you for all the times you make me laugh every day. Don’t ever stop beating to your own drum. We love you so so much.
EARLY FIREWORKS CELEBRATION
Last weekend we had an impromptu Fourth of July Fireworks rendezvous with our neighborhood crew. What a BLAST! The most fun was watching the boys ride sleds and boogie boards down a big hill. Gotta love the creative use for sleds since we don’t get much use for them otherwise! The kids were filthy by the end of the night – a sure sign of a great night.
