Happy almost August! Where in the world did July go? It has been a busy month for us and I haven’t been able to catch my breath to check in here with you for a coffee talk all month! If you’ve been following along on Instagram you know we’ve been to Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Florida since we last “talked”. Now we are starting the summer countdown as we are only two weeks away from back to school. What have you been up to? Grab your coffee and let’s chat! JACKSON HOLE- SUCCESS!

Our big summer trip was a huge success! We loved seeing the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park as well as spending lots of time around Jackson Wyoming. I plan to write a full blog post soon sharing what we did! Just need to sort through the million pictures first. 🙂

CELEBRITY SPOTTING

One fun thing to mention is that we spotted a celebrity couple while on our trip in Jackson Hole. You may know her as Anna from Frozen… and he is well known for his podcast Armchair Expert. Yep. That would be Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard having lunch next to us. And yes she was just casually giving him a massage while they waited for their food. Nothing to see here people.

LAKE TOXAWAY BOUND

As I mentioned, we have a few things left on our summer bucket list and a big one is coming up- a visit to Lake Toxaway. This will be our third summer enjoying this quiet getaway. To see last year’s recap click here. Looking forward to one last hurrah before school!

KICK-AROUND-KAFTAN

I ordered this fun kaftan back before summer and it was perfect to throw it in my suitcase and beach bag for travel. It’s great for a beach cover up because it doesn’t wrinkle. It’s also great for a dress to throw on after a long day at the beach because it like a comfy mumu. 🙂

FLORIDA SUN AND FAMILY FUN

We just got home from our annual Florida Family Trip! This is our 7th summer that the boys and I have escaped down to the beach for some family time and fun in the sun. Feeling so thankful for my parents hosting us and for my sister for coming down to spend some together.

Also thankful to spend some time some extended family. Aunts, cousins, cousins kids, uncles… a big ol family reunion! Here is a picture with my sister and cousin. Our moms are identical twins – so yes we are dressing like triplets here. 🙂 I brought matching sarongs for the sissies and it just worked out perfect that we all had swimsuits that worked. Here are similar wraps on Amazon– would be so cute for a girls beach weekend!

TURTLE ENCOUNTERS

While we didn’t spot any celebrities in Florida, we did spot this little fella making it’s way to the ocean one night. My sister and I usually walk in the mornings, but we didn’t wake up early enough that particular day. So we decided to do a night walk instead. Imagine our delight when we stumbled upon this! We’ve actually had many turtle encounters through the years- you can read more about that here.

FOOTBALL GAME DAY STYLE

So glad that so many of you enjoyed some Amazon Game Day Style! It was SO fun pulling looks together with these Amazon dresses. This black and white gingham dress is so perfect for so many teams- and would also be so cute with a jean jacket thrown on for cooler games. Read it cover to cover in ONE DAY. Have you read it yet? It’s not surprising I devoured this one because I also loved the other two books I have read by this author- Daisy Jones & The Six and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Granted I was on a flight so I had lots of time but I could not put it down!
