Hello hello! Another week flew by and I am still recovering from our getaway to Gasparilla down in Florida. And just like that… the boys are out of school today for their Thanksgiving break. GASPARILLA INN GETAWAY

As I mentioned, we were fortunate to be able to sneak away this past Sunday-Wednesday and spend some time at The Gasparilla Inn. This was my husband’s company trip so there was a little work, a lot of play and we even got in some relaxing! The Inn has been on my travel bucket list and it did not disappoint. I will be sharing a full trip recap soon…

THE THANKSGIVING DRESS

CUTE TARGET SWEATER

Speaking of cute clothes, I ordered a new sweater from Target and they are both winners. And yes- they are both Carolina Blue. Here you can see how I paired it with a long sweater skirt. It also comes in cream, lavender and a really pretty emerald green that would be great for the holidays.

I also bought a crewneck sweater- they also come in lots of colors and are only $20. I have already reached for it multiple times so I think it’s a winner too!

MY FURKENSTOCKS

When I say I haven’t left the house without packing these slippers since the day I bought them- I am not being dramatic! When I brought them on my trip to my St Simons trip this summer, my bestie called them “Furkenstocks” which is so perfect! These are my house shoes, my carpool slip-ons, and my travel slippers. So basically I spend several hours a day in them! I actually picked mine up at Walmart but I sadly cannot find them there anymore… but I did find these very similar ones on Amazon. These are great because you can wear them out and about since they have soles, but they are perfect indoor slippers too.

I attended a local gift show last week and found a few cute things. As much I love the convenience of Target and Amazon- it sure does feel great to support these local artists and vendors. I did go in to look for gifts for people but whoops- I ended up with stuff for me! 🙂

GRATITUDEE TREE

A few weeks ago we created this “Gratitude Tree” as a small way to remember to be thankful this November. Yes- they are saying things like “GATORADE”… but they are also saying things like “MY TEACHERS” so I’d call it a win.

CURRENTLY READING

I am about half way through The Rose Code and after a slow start it is getting good! Honestly it’s been awhile since I could stomach a World War 2 historical fiction novel -since the pandemic actually- but I am enjoying easing back into this genre.
