Hello friends and happy weekend! We made it home from our ski trip for spring break last weekend and then rolled right into virtual school this week. So basically I haven’t completed an entire train of thought in quite some time, ha. Our entire school made the proactive decision to go virtual the week after spring break. While I am glad they are being extra careful, it was definitely an intense week of being Mrs. Mommy. But we made it through and I always feel so extra thankful for their precious teachers who seem to have endless patience for virtual shenanigans. (unlike Mrs. Mommy) Tomorrow marks one year since we were officially told to stay home for two weeks…more on that below including a fun little giveaway.
So how was your week? Any fun plans for the weekend? Do you have spring break plans? Grab your coffee and drop me a note in the comments and let’s have our weekly Front Porch Coffee Talk .

VIRTUAL SCHOOL
If you’ve been following along on my Instagram Stories this week, you know I’ve been channeling my Inner Dolly to get me through our virtual week of school. Something about drinking coffee out of this mug just makes me smile! I mean how can you be mad or sad if you are living your best Dolly life?
Wanna know why I needed lots of extra help? Here is just one example…look at the note Sweet P slapped up in the window one afternoon begging to be saved from virtual Spanish…. (have I mentioned how thankful I am for teachers and in person learning?!?!?)
TWO WEEKS… MAKE THAT ONE YEAR (and a FUN GIVEWAWAY!)
Well, here we are. A year later. Remember when the schools told us it would be two weeks? Yeah, that was a good one, huh? I am amazed at every single mama out there who has juggled home schooling, working from home, feeding our people (SOOO many meals at home!) and the excessive pressure of masks and decisions we have felt the past year. If you haven’t heard it lately- YOU ARE AMAZING. As a small token to celebrate this milestone, I am giving away a “What Would Dolly Do” mug. Consider it a big fat virtual coffee talk and hug from me!
To enter be sure to check out my Instagram tomorrow (Saturday 3/12).
SKI TRIP SUCCESS!
We had a successful ski trip and I am still beaming with pride at how amazing the boys did! It was a true parent goal of ours to get the boys skiing at a young age so that they will hopefully be better than us someday. And I have a feeling that someday will be very soon! I am putting together a trip recap and hope to share it next week.
TARGET SALE!
Y’all know I love my Target finds, and they have SO much fun stuff this spring! I’ve linked some of my current favorites below. And Target is offering 20% off all women’s blouses, shorts and shoes until 3/13. So basically I lost my mind and ordered one of everything. I kid, I kid. But I did grab a few new tops, shorts and sandals for spring/summer.
I’ve linked everything in the outfit inspiration boards I made below HERE. The gingham top, the light brown ruffle blouse and those jean shorts are high on my list for things I hope work out! Such great staple pieces for the summer for casual looks.

PORCH LIFE
Isn’t it amazing what a fresh new fern can do to the winter blues? I am always amazed at how wonderful it feels to dust off the porch and add a few new plants around. In addition to the large new fern, I also added a small maiden hair fern on the tray that I found at Home Depot in the inside plant area.
THROW ON DRESS
This Amazon $25 dress is still a go-to for me and I just added another print to my growing collection. This blue and white one is my third print in this same style. They are just so perfect for throwing on for a road trip, date night, church, sunset boat cruise, preschool graduation…. yes- these are all places I have worn this dress! It’s currently $25 and I would say true to size as I wear a medium.

SPRING!
We came back in town to SPRING! I’ve had the doors open all week with lovely breezes and the weather has been perfection. The Japanese Magnolias have exploded, the tulips have popped and the Bradford Pears are budding. I know the yellow pollen is merely days away. Hello glorious glorious SPRING! I snapped this picture on a walk this week- it’s one of my favorite houses in our neighborhood and that Japanese Magnolia only makes it more beautiful.
Puff Sleeve Striped Tee
Last but not least, this puff sleeve striped tee is a great spring basic! Perfect for layering- but with the cutest puff sleeve detail. Currently 50% off. Shop this look HERE.
Have a great weekend!

I love your porch coffee talks and that mug is so cute!
Montana is beautiful! My son lives there and we try to go as much as possible. He was in Whitefish recently as well.
Montana is SUCH a beautiful part of the country- your son is lucky to be able to live there! Whitefish is definitely a special spot! Have a great weekend.
We had a great spring break too — at Beaches in Turks and Caicos. I highly recommend booking a trip there if you want summer or spring break plans. Everything is open, but they’re only at 25% capacity, so it feels empty- no waits for anything and fantastic service! Can’t recommend it enough!
This weekend we’re excited to try out a new Atlanta restaurant called Nick’s Westside
Oh WOW! That sounds AMAZING. Did you take kids? And I will definitely need to check out Nick’s Westside- looks like it’s going to be a perfect weather weekend! Enjoy!
Yes, Beaches is perfect for kids!
I love those photos of your family ski trip! Also, those dresses are adorable. I may need to order one!
They are taking over my closet ha! Def a fun dress to throw on and gooooo!
