MILLIE UPDATE
If you follow me on Instagram you know we have had a very stressful week with our sweet baby girl. Mille (our 9 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) was lethargic and wouldn’t eat last Wednesday. After a vet visit on Thursday, we landed in the ER on Friday morning. She ended up getting a blood transfusion on Friday night and spent the weekend under the care of a 24 hour vet. We were able to bust her out on Tuesday and she has been home with us recovering. At this point we are treating her for Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP). If you are interested you can learn more here: Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (ITP)
For now she is on a steroid regimen and we are hopeful we will be able to figure this out what caused this sudden and severe issue with more testing. For now we are just glad she’s home!
22 WAYS TO INSPIRE YOUR 2022
We wrapped up the 22 Ways to Inspire your 2022 series this week. This series was lots of fun to write and it truly forced me to get my own life into gear and I heard from many of you that it also inspired you to do the same. I appreciate all of your comments along the way. As always, I am so thankful for this creative outlet and for all of you that come and read to get inspired every day!
I’ve rounded all of the posts up so far here on this page so if you missed any be sure to click on over.
PELOTON STREAK
Today marks DAY 60 of 60 straight days I have done a Peloton bike ride. SIXTY DAYS IN A ROW! I don’t even know who I am right now because I have never really done anything like this before and I didn’t really set out to do it intentionally when I started. This entire thing was somewhat accidental (I decided a couple days into Christmas break to try and ride every day over the break) and once I was biking, I just felt like biking. I made it to 20 days and said how about 30? Then I made it to 45 and said how about 60?
So now all I can think of is when Forrest just started running because he felt like running. 🙂
We are traveling soon and I will not have a Peloton so my streak is ending- but all I can say is wow. Having a 60 day workout streak under my belt for 2022 feels great, and honestly I do feel great overall!
BAHAMAS BOUND
As I mentioned above, we are traveling soon and so excited that our friend’s destination wedding is finally here! We are going to be in Eleuthera and staying at the resort called The Other Side- you can see more about the resort here. Yes- those are glamping yurts that you see and yes that is what we are staying in! Not only will we be celebrating our friend’s wedding, but it is a reunion of long-time friends from our Chapel Hill days. I will definitely share a trip recap to let you know more about it!
SPRING FEVER
We’ve had some warmer days here in Atlanta lately and had this beautiful sunset the other night and it gave me all the spring vibes. I am SO ready!
VALENTINE’S DAY
A banner. Mexican out with the family. 7 day old carnations. A plate of cookies.
Valentine’s Day 2022- Check.
SUPERBOWL TRADITION
This was year two of what is now apparently a Superbowl tradition. First we make a football cake. Then we decorate it with the team colors that are playing. Then we eat it.
Sounds like a perfect tradition to me!
TENNIS TEAM VALENTINE GIFT
I made my tennis team ladies a little Valentine gift last week. Some cute tennis cups filled with a healthy snack of trail mix, a cutie orange, a Lara Bar and a few Hershey kisses. We all go straight to the carpool line so this was just a little treat to send them on their way for the rest of their day!
Happy weekend!
XOXO-
Heather

Ah so sad for your little Millie. Prayers that she heals quickly so she can get back to running around with the boys. We have two cocker spaniels who are now 12 years old. We have had our share of ups and downs with them too. Unconditional love!
