Hi friends! I am checking in with you today after a fabulous girls weekend here in Atlanta at Haven. Needless to say, I was exhausted after a couple very late nights and very early mornings. I spent the day unpacking and trying to re-enter the real world after being in a creative bubble for 48 hours.
For anyone not familiar, Haven is a conference that takes place in Atlanta for DIY and Home Bloggers. This is the 5th year for the conference and my 3rd time attending. Sadly, for a group of bloggers that literally take pictures of every corner of their homes, apparently we were having too much fun to remember to take many pictures. But here are some quick snapshots of the highlights from the weekend.
I arrived at the conference on Friday morning and for the first time I had my bags packed because I actually stayed at the hotel this year. It made a huge difference to not have to switch over to mom mode every night after the sessions. The days are filled with lots of opportunity for learning- and I learned lots! But it definitely also confirmed that blogging is an amazing journey and there is literally endless opportunity to learn and grow. This has to be the main reason I love this little blog- because it forces me to put myself out there and constantly push my comfort zone.
When I saw this skirt I was so SMITTEN and had to have it for the conference. I wore it on Saturday to the classes and then to the Saturday night soiree. Love that it fit in both scenarios and I am already scheming up a reason to wear it again!
It was so fun meeting and getting to know some of the amazing women behind the blogs. If you are on Pinterest, I can pretty much guarantee you have pinned a project from one of the super talented women at this conference. These women are not afraid to get their hands dirty on some major DIY and power tools.
Here is the Pretty Project Link party group on Saturday night.

Rachael from This is Our Bliss and I were so happy to be reunited after we met last year and we were even able to sneak away for a dinner to catch up. She is a fellow boymom and have so much in common it’s scary. Here we are looking normal….
…and here is where I made her take a fan girl pic with Sherry from Young House Love. #justactcool
This is a group that I have gotten to know over the past year since I met them at Haven last year. I am so thankful for them. These women are fierce, funny, inspiring and supportive. Collectively, we represent 15 children, a previous lawyer, masters degrees, full time executive, a mom of 5, endless magazine spreads, and many TV segments-
oh and 6 pretty awesome blogs :).

I am so thankful to have been able to have this fun girls weekend. And a huge thanks to the Big Sweet for holding down the fort. Y’all, when I came home the house was sparkling and he had even set up a babysitter for Sunday night so him and I could squeeze in a date night. I think the Sweets were happy to see me too.

Oh I just love this post!! You looked smashing in ALL of your outfits, but that striped shirt and denim skirt were my faves 😉 I had the best time (again) with you at Haven and am so happy to have met you in 2015. Our dinner date and girlfriend time this year was the best! So much in common it’s scary is right – ha!! Love ya!!

The best pic ever. (Of you and the boys! The others are great too, but not the same!) Why can’t we have a Haven every month?!
xx

I think Haven every month would be amazing, but I think I would end up fat and exhausted. Well, more than I already am. 🙂 So fun hanging with you at Haven! See you soon in NYC!!!
