Hop On Over Easter Tablescape

in Lifestyle, Spring on 03/26/13

We won’t be home for Easter Sunday and I needed something spring-y to do during Mr. Big Stuff’s nap to help get through the cold and rainy Atlanta weekend. I couldn’t resist the excuse to set an Easter table for a family lunch we were hosting this past weekend.

Probably a bit formal for burgers but any excuse to pull out the dishes and linens, right?
Does anyone elses husband give you weird looks when you set a table for an informal get together? Good thing I have this blog to blabber on about all of my projects, ha.
You won’t give me weird looks , right?

Started with a khaki checked tablecloth and used spring and cheerful fabric as a table runner with aqua, green and pink. The centerpiece is a mossy grass box I picked up at the Goodwill for $5. I just placed some wooden white eggs in the grass- egg hunt anyone?

I was so fortunate that my mother-in-law passed down the gold wine glasses and gold silverware from Brian’s grandmother. Who knew it would be so on trend 50 years later?

I love using my white milk glass at Easter. The flowers were picked fresh from our yard.

For the finishing Easter touch, bunny folded ear napkins.
For a tutorial, check out Martha herself.

Does anyone else find any excuse to pull out the linens and dishes?
Be sure to check out my giveaway going on until April 5th!

Hi, Heather! I'm your "downstairs neighbor" on Susan's Tablescape Thursday this week! First, you have a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l dining room! That lighting! That mirror! That fabulous arrangement of framed art!!! Yikes, yikes, and super yikes!!! What a pretty space!!!

I won't give you ANY funny looks for assembling a nice table for a simple meal. A nicely set table is what makes any meal special! It's so nice that you have your husband's Grandmother's beautiful flatware to round it out! It is just crazy that you got that great centerpiece flat at Goodwill!!! Somebody REALLY didn't know what kind of treasure they were putting out to pasture! I love the bunny with the lettuce bowl, too. Very, very sweet.

I wish you and yours a very happy and blessed Easter weekend. Thank you for sharing this pretty table!
