Well, since July is just about over, I figured I better squeeze this post in before we are all moving on to fall and back to school projects! 🙂
In late June, my sweet girlfriends threw me a baby “sprinkle” to celebrate Brooks. It was perfect.
And to thank them for this sweet showering, I put together a Summer Fun In a Tub hostess gift basket.
I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to get them, but I knew I wanted something that was consumable. That is my #1 rule for hostess and housewarming gifts- something that is USABLE and CONSUMABLE.
So off to Target I went. (where else?)
I didn’t have to look far because the Dollar Spot had these beverage tubs and the “Summer Fun in a Tub” idea was born. I grabbed a couple beverage tubs and just wandered around the store filling these tubs with fun summer items… using red and white and blue as my main color scheme. And since these were going to other mamas, I found some fun things they could use with their kiddos.
In the baskets, I included:
– Sidewalk Chalk
– Bubbles
– Citronella Candle
– Navy napkins
– Red & Navy Paper Straws
– Popsicles (in the pouch, to be frozen)
To add some more festiveness to the tubs, I added a couple small flags and filled the tubs with white crinkle paper.
Oh, and I applied these cute chalkboard stickers I had leftover from another project and simply wrote “Happy Summer” on them.
I am so grateful for my friends that threw this darling shower for me and hope they were able to use these items to have some fun with their kiddos from this Summer Fun in a Tub!
xoxo,
Heather

That is a perfect idea for anyone even throwing a fourth of july party. Those straws are super cute.
