Up until last summer I had never watched Star Wars.
There.
I said it.
But with two boys I figured it was only a matter of time and it turns out that Sweet B fell hard for Star Wars during quarantine and he brought us all along with him! Now we have seen them all. Many times. Now we have more light sabers and Stormtroopers hanging around the house than the galaxy far far away. And now we have an excuse to celebrate May the Fourth! While I have always seen others celebrate May the Fourth, I have never partaken in this strange (yet amazing) holiday. So I was excited to join the fun this year with a little surprise for the boys- a fun Baby Yoda drink and breakfast before school.
During quarantine my cousin shared these hilarious drinks she made of Baby Yoda. While hers was a cocktail I figured it would make a super fun treat for May the Fourth! So I remembered to grab some green drink and blueberries at the grocery store and we were on our way! (note to self- if you have a Star Wars and Margarita lover- this would make a fun cocktail too!)
The ears are made of lime slices and then for his robe I just used a brown paper napkin and twine. I was planning to cut a brown paper bag but we happened to have these napkins from some take out. The blueberries went on a skewer for his eyes. And it made the cutest Baby Yoda drink.
I just grabbed a few Star Wars things from around the house and set a little breakfast table for the boys to wake up to. Cereal in a Darth Vader mug- what a way to start the day!
But I saved the best for last! When I spotted these Star Wars Millennium Falcon ice cream sandwiches at the grocery store I snatched them up! I actually found them months ago but stuck them back in the freezer to pull out for this special Star Wars day. They are a limited edition item that I think only comes out a certain time of year so if you see them grab them!
May the Fourth Be With You!
xoxo-
Heather
I recognize some of that Star Wars stuff! Cute little drink to wake up to!
Yes! That Darth Vader mug is his favorite!
ME TOO! I have never seen any “Star Wars” movies! I don’t watch super-hero movies or other popular stuff. Small, independent, off-beat things are my jam. I guess now I am the only person in the USA that hasn’t seen “Star Wars”. I still think I am cool, though! Thanks for the post!
Ha! I love it! I always said- oh we aren’t a star wars family and I just didn’t get it?!? Like what is a stormtrooper and whyyyyy do people love it so much? But now we are fans and I just love doing little things to celebrate with the boys!
