{Be My Valentine} Teacher Gift Idea

in Holiday Crafts, holidays, PRINTABLES, Simple Gifting on 01/20/17

I am excited to share this Valentine Teacher Gift Idea today! Happy FRI-YAY friends! Any fun plans for the weekend? We are going to lay low and enjoy this crazy warm January weather.

So let’s talk Valentine’s Day! I know what you are thinking…”hey girl….um…. I am still recovering from Christmas and here you are with a Valentine’s Day post?”

I know. But it’s only a few weeks away!  If you have littles you have probably been getting asked when Valentine’s Day is since Christmas. Apparently kids live for holidays! Or maybe it’s just mine. #applenotfarfromtree

Simple Valentine's Day Teacher Gift Idea

Valentine’s Day is such a fun excuse to do something special for our teachers and I have a fun little gift idea to share with you today. Since I went with a gift card for Christmas, I wanted to gift them a little something this go-round.

When I was on Amazon the other night, I added some Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap to my cart.   I personally love using Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap and it is always a little splurge when I buy it for myself. So I figured it would be a good consumable item to gift to the boy’s teachers. I also added a Williams-Sonoma dish towels (in pink and taupe to coordinate) to tie around the dish soap bottle.

For a Valentine Teacher Gift, I know it is tempting to buy chocolates, but that’s just kind of mean…isn’t everyone trying to lose weight this time of year? I wanted to give them something consumable that doesn’t just sit on a shelf- and who doesn’t need clean dishes?

So, I created a fun little dish soap and towel gift set. And then I made a fun little gift tag to tie on the fun little gift set. I did all of the work for you so you can just go right along organizing and dieting or maybe just bingeing Gilmore Girls on Netflix. (not that I would know anything about that.)

Love (and clean dishes) is all you need. I suppose I could have exchanged the clean dishes part for Netflix. Or Amazon. Or really lots of things. But today we are focusing on clean dishes mmmm-kay?

Items Needed for this Valentine Teacher Gift Idea:

  • Mrs. Meyer’s Dish Soap
  • Dish Towel
  • Red Gingham Ribbon (or anything to tie the gift set together)
  • Gift Tag

Valentines Day Tag

For my Mrs. Meyer’s Simple Valentine Teacher Gift Idea I used the Rosemary and Lemon Verbena Mrs. Meyer’s scents. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them though. I found mine on Amazon but I know my local grocery has them, and so does Target. To finish the gift set off I added a dish towel and used my pinking shears to cut some red gingham fabric strips as the ribbons.

You can download this printable gift tag HERE  for this Valentine Teacher Gift Idea.

Now off to do some dishes. 🙂 Happy weekend!

I found those at the Williams-Sonoma outlet a few months back. It looks like they have some pink ones currently, but a much darker pink. Maybe closer to spring they will have the light pink again!
