Happy Friday friends and time for another Style Fix Friday. SFS is a series where I am sharing real outfit ideas, for real people, with real budgets. This time it’s all about Star Spangled Style, just in time for the Fourth of July.
Have I ever mentioned that my second favorite holiday is Fourth of July? It is a close second only behind Thanksgiving. I just love how it’s low-key, casual and festive, and usually hanging out with family and friends. If you are lucky, you are near a body of water. And if you are really lucky, there is a spread of delicious food.
Because Style Fix Friday is all about using items already in my closet in new ways, I decided to pull together three different looks for inspiration. Since most of these items are from years past, I tried linking similar items for you if you want to recreate similar looks.
This first one is actually a striped navy maxi dress that I layered a red tank over. A few simple and casual accessories and I am ready for a Yankee Doodle Dandy Good Time.
Next up, a super casual look with shorts and a racerback tank. I love the camo with the red, white and blue. I’ve shared before that camo has crept it’s way into my wardrobe, and I love mixing it with patterns and different colors. Nothing says ‘Merica like this one!
For a more dressed up look, I paired a navy striped skirt with red gingham. Put some prep in your American step.
