Patriotic Jello Dessert

in create, holidays, Inspiration on 06/26/16

From the looks of things around here in December, you may think that Christmas is my favorite holiday. But it is actually Thanksgiving.

Are you asking yourself why I am giving you random facts about my holiday faves? Because the Fourth of July is the close second favorite!  I just love how it always means a party, with very little stress. And hello, who doesn’t love red, white and blue?

I may still be in denial that the fourth is next week though, because that means we are also half way through the year.  Does that kind of freak anyone else out a little? #slowdowntime

If you need a super simple but super festive dessert idea, look no further. This takes very little effort , but since it’s Jello it does take some time to come together.

To prepare, you will need only a few ingredients:

  • Red Jello Mix
  • Blue Jello Mix
  • Whipped Cream
  • Fruit to garnish

jello ingredients

First, prepare the red Jello as directed and pour into the cups you want to serve this in… let it cool in the fridge until solid. If for kiddos- some of the small clear plastic cups are perfect.

Once the red Jello has jelled, add the blue Jello on top. Stick back in fridge and wait until solid.

Once that is ready to go and right before serving, add the whipped cream and fruit garnish.

Simple and festive! Perfect little treat in my book!
