With temperatures already warming up in Atlanta, it seems hard to believe we were recently hanging out in 2 degree temperatures! We just got home from our spring break trip in Whitefish, Montana and while it was a very cold adventure, it was lots of fun and a total success! For me a successful ski trip means: no injuries, improving in skill, not being miserably cold, and of course LOTS OF FUN! Last year in 2021, when planning our spring break, we landed on heading to Whitefish Montana. This was because unlike other ski resorts that had closed down lots of operations due to the pandemic, all of the Whitefish options were up and running.
Well, we had so much fun in 2021 we decided to hit “repeat” for our 2022 spring break ski trip! This is the third year we have done a ski trip with the same family and it truly helps having our rhythm together down. They have two boys similar to our boys age so I am not sure if they have more fun skiing or just being silly boys back at the house! Skiing with kids is not for the faint of heart, but it does get easier and easier the older they get. The trip was lots of fun and I am happy to report that the boys continue to get better and better every year. Sweet B even tackled a black diamond run this year.
Whitefish is so unbelievably beautiful with views of Glacier National Park and Canada from the summit. The views almost make you forget that it is merely 2 degrees! Yes- it was MUCH colder this year than last year. But we were prepared and were able to stay warm!
I am so proud of the boys and it was fun to have some one on one skiing time with both of them. We had some ski guides in the mix to help and that was a great way for everyone to have a good time. Don’t you love how Sweet P was repping the ATL with his jersey?
I shared all of our restaurants and things to do recommendations in last year’s post, so be sure to check that out below if planning your own trip to Whitefish, Montana!
