Hey friends! It’s time for another Taco Tuesday! For those of you just joining, I kicked off a new series where we taco ’bout all of our favorite Mexican dishes. Turns out lots of us could live on chips and salsa! You are my people. Today’s post is another staple that is a building block for lots of my favorite yummy and easy dishes. This is a perfect recipe for these crazy quarantined days because it just takes a few minutes to dump your ingredients, and then you walk away until dinner! Oh who am I kidding- this is perfect for any day because aren’t they all crazy?
Shredded Crockpot Chicken
INGREDIENTS || Shredded Crockpot Chicken
- Taco Seasoning ( See my Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe Here)
- Boneless Chicken Breasts (usually use a one pound package with 2-4 breasts)
- 16 oz Fresh Salsa (I find mine in the deli section at my grocery store)
INSTRUCTIONS || Shredded Crockpot Chicken
Line chicken breasts across bottom of crock pot.
Add taco seasoning on top of each breast.
Pour entire container of salsa over chicken.
Cook on low for 5-6 hours.
After cooking, the chicken should shred easily with forks. I usually take two forks and shred it right in the crock pot.
- Use a slotted spoon to scoop your chicken onto any of your favorite dishes! Think tacos, burritos, nachos or a taco salad.
I love having a container of Shredded Crockpot Chicken in the fridge to grab and make a wrap or nachos in just a few minutes for an easy lunch with the leftovers!
Happy Taco Tuesday! xoxo-
