It’s still hot here in Atlanta.
In fact, I have been saying I am going to write myself a letter to open next September 1st that reminds me that it is going to be hot for awhile. It seems that every September I am “surprised” at how hot it is!
But I know that cooler temps are coming and even though Atlanta hasn’t officially got the memo, our Trader Joe’s did and that was all it took for me to get a few fall touches on the back porch.
I snagged a few simple orange pumpkins for the fireplace mantel.
And I couldn’t resist the sunflowers and a few white mini pumpkins. I also snagged the pumpkin bread mix that they have every year… and I actually baked it.
It lasted around 20 hours before it was gone. I can’t decide if that means I should hurry up and make more of if I should never buy it again!?!?
There is just something about the orange of the pumpkin and the gold of the flowers that instantly makes it feel like fall! We spend lots of time out here even in the heat, and I know that once it cools down a bit we will be out here all of the time.
Now I can’t wait to check out lots of fall porch inspiration. So many pretty pictures linked below and it is really getting me in the mood for cooler weather! I also can’t wait to decorate the front porch for Halloween soon.
Today I’m excited to be joining a group of 25 bloggers who are also sharing their fall porch tours today! Hop around to take in all this stunning inspiration…
