Yay! Happy second day of fall. Today we are continuing on with Day 2 of our “31 Days of Fall in the South” series with a “touch of fall” home tour. I also joined a fun fall home tour group and the links to all of their homes are at the end of this post. So much good inspiration!
Yeah, you not really feeling the fall vibe yet either? It is SO hot in Atlanta. It is going to be 91 degrees tomorrow. However, I did buy a pumpkin from Trader Joes (I say if T.J. says it’s time for pumpkins, it’s time for pumpkins) and got some fall nesting done this past rainy Sunday. So the house got a few simple fall touches that I am sharing today.
Let’s just pretend like it’s 60 degrees and come on in and cozy up!

Come on through through the foyer. If you’ve been around here long, you’re probably thinking wait- I thought her foyer was navy? Um yeah, about that. It got a bright white paint job last week. I fully intended to write a separate post, but here we are.
I loved the navy (read more about that here), but struggle with how dark our home can feel. I really love the bright white and how much brighter it feels in this part of the house now.
I mentioned I found a new rug for the foyer at my recent trip to Scott’s Antique Market, which is really what triggered the whole white wall domino. Here it is in the foyer.
Everyone say hello to sweet Bella.
Moving into the living room. I have been playing around with new furniture placement so things are a little different in here, not sure where it will all land. Lots of fun changes coming soon to this room because I am giving it a face lift this October in the One Room Challenge.
The fall mantel is very simple. Just some pheasant feathers in vintage trophies and some greenery. And if you are wondering, yes- the greenery is weeds I clipped in the mason jars.
And yes, more weeds in the copper pitcher.
Yep. More weeds.
Moving into the family room. The big fall update here is the pheasant feather DIY art above the mantel. I will share that tutorial soon as well.
The shelves got a few fall changes- I turned some books around to show the pages for some neutral accents and added some copper details.
Here is another quick DIY- some framed geode slices… and Mom gave me that Mexican blanket a few years back so I pulled it out for the season.
Here is the dining room. This is part of the space I did in the spring with the One Room Challenge and not much has changed. I added some green hydrangeas. Oh, and I cleaned the table. With actual cleaner.
So, the house is ready… now we just need it to cool off a bit and we are ready for fall!
I hope you were inspired to add a touch of fall to your home too. If you want more inspiration, be sure to check out these beautiful fall homes!

Thanks! YES. I love color but am having SUCH a moment with white these days. I just want a clean slate in every room. That is probably just my decorating ADD talking though and I will be back to color everywhere soon, ha.

Ha, weeds have never looked so good right??!!?!? I found a random field nearby and pulled over… if my boys were older they would be so embarrassed. 🙂
