Week 3 | Guest Bathroom Refresh {Primp and Pamper Bathroom Challenge}

in Easy DIY, Home Tour on 03/19/18

Hi and welcome to Week 3 of the Primp & Pamper Bathroom Refresh Challenge!  If you are just checking in here,  I joined a bathroom challenge where a group of bloggers are giving our bathrooms a refresh in four weeks. I decided to go with our guest bathroom for this challenge.  It’s always stressful to put a time limit on updating rooms, but sometimes it is just what I need to avoid the distractions and get ‘er done.

Last week for the Week 2 Update, I had lots to share including the freshly painted walls, gold hardware, new rug and vanity chair.  This week I accomplished two more tasks so let’s take a closer look. This was my vision for the bathroom, so let’s see how much I was able to accomplish this week:

  1. The biggie this week was getting the art sorted out. In my inspiration board I showed a pair of pink abstract art in fun gold bamboo frames along with a more colorful abstract piece of art. This was a fun starting point for some DIY art and here it what I came up with. Here is where I landed!

    I only had one bamboo gold frame so I used that and made some pink abstract art using the art in the mood board as my inspiration.

    I had this frame and canvas in my stash so I painted a quick colorful abstract DIY painting for the second piece. I am planning to put both pieces above the towel rack.

  2. Window Treatment- I ordered this Acrylic Curtain Rod (yay for the 20% off coupons!) and had these sweet sheers on hand.

    I don’t think I will keep this sheers in here permanently but i want to address the bathroom and guest room curtains together once I figure out the guest room. So these are perfect for now! I also need to actually install the curtain rods before next week as these are hanging on brackets from the previous shade.

Welp, wishing I could cross off a few more this week! I blame it on having a birthday last week. I mean it does take an entire week to celebrate a birthday right? 🙂 One week left to get the rest done! I am excited to share the final results with you here next week.
