As soon as the temperatures dipped, I had an immediate urge to cozy up the house for winter. Give me alll the fuzzy blankets! I love that we get to experience all four seasons here in Atlanta, even if they aren’t that extreme. I truly try to embrace each one knowing that the next one will be here soon enough. So with the cooler temps arriving, I was thrilled to have a reason to check out Kohl’s Home Sale to freshen up our master with some cozy updates and create a Winter White Master Bedroom .

It also occurred to me that I haven’t really shared this room before here on the blog. Why is it that the master bedroom becomes an afterthought in the home? I love that I have started to make a dent in making this space feel like home.
When we moved in, the previous owners left the window treatments and light fixture. Which I love! But our linens were looking pretty tired and needed some freshening up. I had my heart set on using fresh and clean whites so I went on the hunt for a white comforter- hence a Winter White Master Bedroom refresh was born!
When I spotted this White Pucker Stripe The Big One bedding set from Kohl’s I knew I had found the perfect set. I love the texture of the comforter, even though it’s all white it has some interest with the pucker stripes. The best part is that it is actually an 8-piece set. And it got rave reviews. And it was on sale! Bingo!

Once I had the white bedding figured out, I wanted to add a little interest, and of course, keep it cozy! This Cuddl Duds Faux Fur throw in snow fur print is the perfect fun layer. It’s neutral but definitely give the bedding that little extra pop. And I have never felt something more soft. I love that is is machine washable too- but really is that perfect finishing winter touch on the bedding.
Moving on to the pillows. The white comforter was actually an 8 piece set that included these bright white puckered shams. I also added three large navy pillows along the back. Then I FINALLY made those monogrammed shams that I have been meaning to get to for months. I will share the tutorial on those soon!
As part of the refresh, I wanted to get a few new pillows to sleep with. I found these Columbia Down-Alternative pillows as part of the sale and now we are fighting over who gets them when we sleep!
I must say that with these cooler temps, getting out of bed when the alarm clock goes off has gotten harder. And this Winter White Master Bedroom cozy bedding sure doesn’t help that either! 🙂

I also had some fun styling the nightstands. That along with the navy blue ikat accent pillow really made a huge difference in making the room feel “finished!”
Be sure to check out the Kohl’s Home Sale for yourself! Perfect timing before the holidays with sales on Columbia, The Big One, Cuddlduds, and Serta from 11/7-11/18.

Kohl’s is pretty excellent for home goods. I just finally did what I always wanted to do and picked up a Christmas Quilt! And then of course had to buy 3 decorative pillows too and the Cuddle Duds blankent isn’t bad either!
Your bedroom looks great and so do you!
I am so glad you found something you like! Happy happy holidays! xoxo
Looking good. Wish it was cold enough to warrant a blanket where I live. Just kidding. But listen, I don’t need cold weather to do damage at kohl’s.
