Mine was super fun because it was our fifth annual family girls weekend. This is where the moms, aunts, sisters, daughters and cousins on my moms side of the family get together to eat, shop, laugh and love. And every year I feel so blessed to call these women my family. This year we had three baby boys join the fun as well.
The party happens here in Atlanta so I get to stay local but the others come in from Florida, Ohio and North Carolina. As with years past (as shown here and here) I love getting the gals a fun little gift upon their arrival. Last year, I gave everyone matching pajama pants which was really fun.
Everyone got matching scarves!
I was super excited when Ball sent me a set of pint and quart purple mason jars, and I immediately knew the quart size would be the perfect complement to the colorful scarves. Have you seen these colored mason jars yet? How fun!
I just filled the jars with goodies and tied the scarf around the jar with twine.
I ordered the scarves from Simple Addiction, but you can find them over at Amazon in all kinds of colors as well. They are only a couple bucks each and scarves are easy like jammies because they fit everyone! 🙂
It was hard not to keep all of the scarves for myself, I could definitely use one of each color these days. The lightweight material are perfect for spring! And since the baby is into my jewelry these days, scarves are about the only baby proof accessory I can pull off!
The fabric on top was an assortment of colorful scraps cut with pinking shears.
Alright, I am off to unpack the suitcases and sort through the scores. Oh, did I mention we shop-shop-shop all weekend? Of course I will keep you posted on the goodies I found. We had a great time and I already can't wait until next year.
