I’m a believer that if you feel cute and comfortable in your workout clothes, you will be more motivated to actually work out. Also, let’s face it, ath-leisure-wear has become the norm for just kicking around, so I usually end up wearing my workout clothes even when I am not working out! Today I want to share a few fun finds to add to your mix.
Here are 10 essentials for looking cute and being comfy for workouts!
I have a similar open back tank and I find myself grabbing it often, especially in the summer. It is perfect for exercising outside and keeping you cool. I love that you can wear it open or you can tie into a cute knot to keep the two panels together. This pack of two is under $20 and got tons of great reviews!
I have this exact drape sweater in black and I wear it ALL THE TIME. While it is a bit of an investment, it is something I find myself grabbing whenever I can! It is the perfect light weight to wear before or after a workout and the cut is super flattering.
Oh Fitbit, how do I love thee… let me count the ways! I have had my Fitbit for several years and it is truly one of the things that keeps me most motivated to get on my treadmill. The best part is now my son has a Vivofit Garmin Jr and he competes with me daily to see who gets the most steps. No matter what I do- most days he wins! But that’s ok because it’s fun to have a little friendly competition and I love setting my daily steps goals.
There is nothing worse than when your socks bunch up! These socks stay put and come in lots of fun colors.
As part of my avoid-the-sun campaign, I always wear a hat when I am exercising outside. Of course, a dry fit hat is perfect for this! I love this neutral black one to wear for working out… but yes… you guessed it… also for those mornings that you just need to run out the door without washing your hair.
My husband was gifted one of these from a work Christmas gift. You better believe I snagged it as soon as it came through the door. I bring my bottle filled with me all day every day! They are designed to keep water cool for 24 hours. Fun fact- they also fit an entire bottle of wine.
I am still rocking the headphones that came with my phone, (I know, I know- it’s time to get with the program!) but have my eye on a pair of bluetooth ones. These are only $20 and got lots of good reviews.
Based on the reviews, these run small- but they are super affordable and comfy! I like the racerback style to wear with tanks and these come in several colors.
Truth: I am a Lululemon legging believer all the way. I have three pair that I wear pretty much every time I work out. They last forever, wash and dry perfectly, have a spot to hold my phone AND are super flattering in all the right places. But here’s the thing- they are pricey. Like ridiculously pricey. Definitely something to add to the birthday wish list but not something you would probably buy yourself just because! So I went on the hunt to find the next best thing. After looking around, I have landed on these leggings. They get tons of good reviews, can hold the phone (you will thank me later for this feature!!!) come in lots of colors and are super affordable.
I am in the market for some new running shoes and I think these neutral black Nikes are perfection! I love that they work well for working out, but also work well for street clothes or when you are just wearing work out clothes but not actually working out. (YES, this is a THING mmmkay?!?!) I am not running any marathons or anything so don’t need anything too crazy. The best part is that they are on sale right now and also come in a fun camo color.
So what are your work out must haves? Any cute workout clothes I missed? I’d love to know!
