One thing I love about our home is my little home office nook. It could probably be categorized as a “cloffice” but this is the nook where I attempt to keep everything organized around here. It’s not a big space, but it’s all mine and it works hard for our family! It’s also where I do most of my blogging so I am thankful to have this little corner of the house to stay organized. I don’t know if I have ever officially shared this space on the blog before. Honestly, it’s usually piled with papers, mail, kids schoolwork, you know- the usual home piles that you can never seem to stay ahead of.
The boys were home sick last week (YES, both of them) so I was forced to lay low for a couple of days. Which actually ended up being wonderful because I got extra snuggles from the boys and ended up with an organized office. That’s a win/win in mom math! Forced to be home bound, I took some time to deal with the long forgotten piles. Once the paperwork was dealt with, I spruced it up a bit and figured I would share it here with you as part 12 of our “22 Ways to Inspire Your 2022” series.
Just another nugget of inspiration for you as we work through our “22 Ways to Inspire Your 2022”!

So let’s take a closer look at this little home office. Most of this stuff is either thrifted, DIY’ed, from estate sales, or generally “gathered” from over the years but I will do my best to break down the sources below. The thing that really kicked off this entire spruce up was this acrylic desk organizer that I ordered from Amazon. I had several bins and pen holders cluttering the space before and was able to streamline it all into one mega organizer. This was the 20 Minute part- just streamlining my desk accessories. That was the only purchase I made for this little revamp- the other changes were just using things I already had around here and finishing a few projects that had been long forgotten.

Alright, so let’s move on and take a look at the art. The Georgia Peach Warrior Girl art was already hanging here, but I decided to hang these two pink abstracts that I made a few years ago on the side of it.

Once those abstracts were up, the other side needed a little something. So I made this “What Would Dolly Do?” sign. I love how this adds a little spunk in here. And that the total cost was free since I already had the frame!
Next up, the built in window seat. I had this cream pillow and I purchased some trim about 6 months ago to add to it. Did I ever actually finish the project? NOPE. So when I stumbled upon the trim as I was cleaning up, I knocked that little detail out as well. I used the same method as I have for lots of other pillows- just some good old fashioned fabric glue.

Love this little detail!
The lamp was a DIY project from several years ago. Basically I found a gourd lamp from the thrift store, gave it a coat of white spray paint and then added some blue brushstrokes.
Here is the other side of the cloffice. On the top I have a basket to hold kids art and schoolwork I want to keep. Down below the cabinets are all of my file folders, notebooks and stationary. It isn’t pretty so I will spare you the eyesore. This is real life happening over here, so don’t always let these pretty little spots fool you- there are still piles and clutter. 🙂
It feels great to have this space all cleaned up to help tackle 2022. It’s crazy how clutter can truly be a creativity blocker and I feel much more inspired walking into this cloffice now!

Mine is a Thrifted DIY but here is the link to the one I used as my inspiration.

I found mine from an estate sale a few years ago, it was originally from Ballard Designs. I found this one from Wayfair that is super cute!

PINK ABSTRACTS- I offer these as a free printable on my blog in several colors. You can read about them here.
PILLOWS:
Collected from all over! The green ones came with the house from the previous owner who had them made to go with the green Roman Shade.
The cream one I’ve had, but used this PRETTY TRIM to make it fancy.
The salmon one is Lacefield Designs.
