When I spotted Halloween pumpkin cookies at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago, I instantly knew I wanted to make a Halloween-themed dessert board at some point this month. So I was thrilled to have an excuse over the weekend when our neighbors invited us over for dinner. I was giddy putting this together and the kids all loved it so I figured I would share it here with you for a quick and easy idea.
In addition to the black & orange pumpkin cookies, I also grabbed a bag of bat & ghost chips when I was Trader Joe’s so those two items are what I started with to make this Halloween Dessert Board. From there, I just hit my local grocery store to grab a few more items and it came together like hocus pocus. It was hard to not go overboard but since it wasn’t a huge group- I wanted to make sure I didn’t go crazy. I also knew I had about 15 minutes to spend assembling this so I was definitely looking for something easy and fast.
HOW TO MAKE: Halloween Charcuterie Board
Here you can see the ingredients I started with. Very basic stuff!
The item that took the most time was zhushing up the store-bought brownie bites. These are my go-to items (here you can see my Super Bowl version) for fun individual desserts. For these Halloween bites- I just added some frosting using a baggie snipped to squeeze it out. Then I topped it with a candy corn.

Other than that, it was just about arranging them on the platter. I don’t think you can go wrong here. I had some white mini pumpkins I added and a few other fun Halloween trinkets. Those skeleton hands are salad servers I’ve had in my Halloween tub for years- I think from the Dollar Tree.
I was digging around for my fake black plastic spiders but didn’t see them- they would have been a cute addition.
The kids went crazy for this fun dessert board…and so did the adults! I will definitely be doing this again and can’t wait to try a few new things with it next time.
Happy Halloween!
