Easy Football Brownie Bites

in Inspiration on 02/05/20

We got invited to a last minute neighborhood Super Bowl party which means I needed to come up with a last minute food plan.  When I talked to the hostess, she said it was the typical Super Bowl spread- so lots of dips and appetizers. Without a plan, I figured I would come up with something when I got to Publix.  And sure enough- the solution was sitting right in front of me when I walked into the bakery! These easy Football Brownie Bites were a hit!

These brownie bites have saved me many times when I need a last minute treat. For Halloween, I use a dollop of frosting and add a candy corn. At Christmas, I have stacked an upside strawberry on them with some white frosting to make a Santa Hat. If there isn’t a holiday, I just pipe some plain frosting on them to just add a little something and put them on a pretty platter. But for the Super Bowl, they made perfect little footballs!

My Publix sells these Brownie Rounds in their bakery, which makes it super easy to zhush them up. Then I just grabbed a container of white frosting. To make the football laces- I just scooped some of the white frosting in a sandwich Ziploc, snipped the corner, and went to town.

Hope this little semi-homemade tip helps next time you need something fast and simple.

xoxo-

Heather
