{Living Room} 2016 Blue Christmas Home Tour Part 4

I was thrilled to be able to choose some new items from ® to give our living room some cheer! This room was recently given lots of love during the fall One Room Challenge – a makeover that I lovingly call “Madmen Meets the South” – so the layout of the room is totally different than previous years. We also opted not to put our main tree in here this year and using a more petite one.

The small tree fits perfect in this space and is filled with metallics and blue. I love this set of – it came with 36 so plenty for me to use on this tree and I also used them in the den on the mantel.

I absolutely love the Teakwood bowl on the ottoman filled with ornaments and pinecones. Another thing from Home Decorators Collection… and something I can definitely use year round!

I kept the mantel pretty simple this year. Just the Magnolia leaves and a couple large and in charge Nutcrackers from the massive collection we have been given over the years from my Mother in Law. The are new from HDC and I know they will be sticking around all year.

This is the view of the foyer from the living room couch. I love how the tree connects the two rooms. Is it weird that I am already sad the decor will have to go down in less than a month?

Over in the corner, we gave our deer a scarf and the cute almost got snagged for on the Sweets rooms. I won, but I have a feeling this will be a battle every year.

Can we just talk about these ? I almost got them in red but then decided on the black. I absolutely love the texture they bring to this room.

I love draping two vintage scarves over these blue chairs. Of course, the Sweets think they are their own personal lassos. It is a constant battle. But one I am willing to fight. #boymom

Tomorrow I am sharing a quick tip about that fireplace TV screen. #mindblown

The large DIY art got a big wreath. (Secret: I used a dry cleaner hanger curved to hang it!)
