2016 Blue Christmas Home Tour {Part 2}

in Christmas, Living & Family Room on 12/06/16

Today my Blue Christmas Holiday Home Tour continues and I am sharing some highlights from our Den. I truly would have a Blue Christmas without you and I am so glad you are here!  If you’ve been around here, you know we transformed this room during the spring One Room Challenge from an eat-in kitchen to a sitting room/den. So this is the first year it has been more of a functional living and hanging out space and I am loving it. I am also joining up with the Pink Door Holiday Home Tour so for more inspiration be sure to check out the other homes below.

I really didn’t buy much besides the tree that I shared yesterday and a very simple mantel. I did splurge and buy 4 new velvet navy pillows for the 4 chairs. (SALE ALERT! They are only $6.99 a piece!)

The silhouettes were a DIY project from a couple years past but I think they are just perfect for Christmas so I moved them into this room.

The mantel is clean and simple. The art was a DIY- I just found a framed canvas- painted the frame gold and gave the canvas a textured white finish. I do think I need to share a tutorial on this because I simply love it!

A pair of matching throws for the back of the gray wing back chairs.

I had a brown twig wreath in the attic. It is now blue. Ha. Someone really needs to stop me!

Sweet Bella always seems to make it into my Christmas pics. Love having her sweet little face around to keep me company during the day.

I used my jug + branch trick to hold some ornaments on the mantel.

Here is a close up of the “art” on the mantel. I was inspired by the Southern Living idea house to make this…. inspiration really is everywhere!

I made this DIY art last year and was so happy to pull it out again this year.

    Your Bella looks like my Chloe who passed 5 years ago. The labs are just the best. Your home is lovely.
