Happy weekend dear friends. We are in the final countdown and unless you can find it on Amazon Prime with 2 Day delivery – I hope all of your Christmas shopping is done. This post is a few days later than my normal Friday timing but ‘Tis the Season!!?? I have found myself extra sentimental this week just thinking about how the school year is half way over, the world has been turned upside for way longer than any of us could have ever expected and here we are in the last few days leading up to Christmas and the end of 2020. Most days I don’t think much about it all but on those days when I stop to really think- it can be a heavy feeling. Would love to “chat” so grab your Peppermint Mocha coffee and meet on the porch for this week’s Front Porch Coffee Talk .

MERRY ANNIVERSARY SWEET 16!
On Friday we celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. Yes, we were the crazy ones to get married exactly one week before Christmas. At the time, my husband was in business school in Chapel Hill and it was just the way the timing worked out after a summer engagement. We dated for forever but ended up planning our wedding in less than 6 months! It was a whirlwind but such a fun time. So thankful for this journey and the family we have built. And thankful to my parents for taking the boys so we could have a date night! 🙂
2020 HANDMADE ORNAMENT
I treasure all of the ornaments the boys have made throughout the years and this one is no exception! I mean- could it be any more perfect?
FUN WITH BULLSEYE
I love our mischievous elf! May the force be with you on these last few days getting ready for Christmas!
PELOTON FUN!
My husband ordered us a Peloton this past summer and it FINALLY arrived after several delays – thanks Covid. But it is here and I am LOVING it- especially the holiday rides right now. I am really looking forward to incorporating this into my fitness goals in the new year. If you have one I would love to know your favorite instructors and rides and any other tips and tricks!
NEW FAVE: ESPRESSO MARTINI
We have been on a “mission” to find the best espresso martini in town over the past few months as we go out to different restaurants on date nights. It’s been a fun little adventure and most of the time we just share one as a dessert. So far we have tried Houston’s, Blue Ridge Grill, Le Colonial, Kyma and Atlanta Fish Market! Our favorite has been at Le Colonial but the quest continues…
I’M A GEORGIA VOTER
Well I have successfully placed my vote for the upcoming January 5th senate runoff election. This is the 4th time I have voted in 2020 which is definitely a record for me. Have you voted yet?
FAMILY ZOOM
Sadly I won’t see my sissy this Christmas so we are trying to connect with some family zooms. This is one thing I hope continues after the world fully opens back up! I heard the lyrics of the Christmas song Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and couldn’t help but think how appropriate they are for this year:
Through the years we all will be together
If the fates allow
Until then we’ll have to muddle through somehow
xoxo-
