CELEBRATING 50 YEARS

The celebration has already begun as my extended family has started gathering down in Florida! 50 years ago tomorrow my parents walked down the aisle and said “I Do”! Can’t wait for the big party tomorrow night!

FAVORITE THINGS PARTY

I am so excited to be co-hosting a Favorite Things Party this year at our home! In years past we have done an ornament exchange but this year decided it would be fun to do the Favorite Things exchange instead. We also couldn’t come up with a weekday evening that worked (why is December so crazy!?) so we decided to host a weekday brunch. This is my neighborhood crew and most are work from home or stay at home moms so we figured we could sneak in a brunch window while the kids are all in school. I will be sure to share a party recap here with you. Now I just need to decide on my “favorite thing!”

CRUSHED ICE MAKER

It just occurred to me that I never told you the saga of our ice maker saga. This summer while we were on our big summer family vacation out west, our ice machine broke and started leaking all over our wood floors. Fortunately someone came into our home and was able to notify me while we were gone. The wood floors did end up warping but after a few months they have completely gone back to normal.

Fast forward MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS and at least 6 service repair visits – the ice maker is finally repaired.

However, in the mean time, we purchased this handy dandy pellet ice maker that now lives in our pantry. And we are all HOOKED! We found ours on Amazon and went with the extra tank one- you can shop it HERE (GE PROFILE PELLET ICE MAKER) It was an investment but something we had talked about doing for a while… and when the broken ice maker happened… it was the excuse we needed!

GARAGE MAKEOVER

We are officially making over our garage and it is already starting to come together! The first step in the makeover was completely cleaning it out and purging- which was SO NOT what I wanted to do but I am SO happy to have done it! We purged and purged and here is how it looked cleaned out. Notice the floors…

and here is a sneak peek of the after of the floors! I will be sharing a full post after the holidays once this is done. I am blown away by the transformation already!
