Hello fRiDaY! The blog train got a little derailed in March due to spring break, a destination wedding, saying goodbye to Millie, spring sports… you know… LIFE! But I finally feel like I can catch my breath and couldn’t wait to check in here to “catch up” over coffee on the porch! So grab your coffee and meet me on the front porch- it’s time for our weekly Front Porch Coffee Talk.

SPRING ARRIVAL
Spring is here in Atlanta and it is absolutely glorious! It has been such a lovely week of weather and blooms, and the longer days help too. I’ve been dreaming of sprucing up the porch and I can’t wait to get out there and get it all cleaned up after winter. But first, POLLEN! If you are looking for some porch inspiration, you can click HERE to see lots of past porch decor.
BALLOON GARLAND
I helped host a classroom baby shower last week for one of our sweet teachers. It was lots of fun and the 1st graders were so cute about their cute teacher! I ran to Hobby Lobby to grab a few things to decorate the classroom and saw a simple balloon garland for $12. I thought to myself- hey why not? It was SO much easier to put together than I thought it would be and the kids just loved it! I will definitely be trying this again soon. As I mentioned, mine was from Hobby Lobby- but here is a similar option from Amazon.
FIRST TENNIS MATCH!
After six months of weekly clinics- we finally had our first match last week! Sadly my partner and I got crushed, but we had a BLAST!
ESTATE SALE FINDS
The boys all had a golf tournament last Sunday which left me with a couple hours to myself. This is SUCH a rare occurrence on a weekend so I decided to stop in at an estate sale just to take a quick peak. It was the end of the weekend so I was surprised to find lots of great things! I left lots behind (a few are still haunting me sigh) but I did grab these three items. I’ve wanted that cute cookbook for a long time. The planter will get filled for the back porch. The rug was a total score… although at the time that I bought it I truly didn’t know where it would go. I just knew I needed it. 🙂
…and here is the rug in it’s new home. I knew I would find a spot for it! This room is slowly (but surely) coming together.
GO-TO JEAN SHORTS
I snagged these jean shorts last spring from Target. And they ended up being heavy in my rotation all summer! They are currently on sale for $16. I would size up 1-2 sizes as they do run small, and no one wants short and tight cut-offs!

Hope you have a wonderful spring weekend!
XOXO-
