Another summer, another family vacation to Hilton Head! While our annual trips to Hilton Head are always usually low key, this year it was extra low key due to wanting to stay safe and away from crowds. But we had a great time and getting away was definitely what we all needed after being home for so long! We golfed, swam, beached, flew a kite and rode our bikes. We looked for alligators. We played tennis. We rode bikes to get ice cream daily.

I decided to bring all of our groceries and worked really hard to pack everything so we could avoid having to go to the store once we got there- so it was such a sweet sight as we pulled in to the low country. Makes it worth it when you see this- I always love driving into the area and spotting the low country marshes for the first time.
We spent lots of time at the pool between beach visits. Sweet B even learned how to do a flip into the pool.
This was the first year that the four of us could ride our own bikes without trailers and baby bike seats. So. Much. Fun!
I think I lost count somewhere around 30, but we had fun spotting and counting alligators every time we drove around.
Somehow this family selfie on the golf cart was the only family picture I took the entire week of the four of us.
We went to Harbour Town one night to meet up with some friends who happened to be in town as well. It was so fun to meet their sweet baby girl and the boys were instant buds. Gotta love sweet old friends!
We dug some holes. Lots and lots of holes.
What is it with boys and wanting to dig holes?
While we cooked most of our meals in this year to avoid crowds, we did hit up a few of our fave places. The Salty Dog Cafe is always a fun spot and a fun outing in Harbour Town.
Overall, I am so thankful that we were still able to travel and create new memories. These summers are so precious. Already looking forward to next year!

Ahhhh . . . . . your post made my day! I could feel the ocean breeze, the sand between my toes, and that first contact with “ocean.” I could smell the pine trees on the bike ride, hear the ping of the golf club making contact with the ball, feel the fascination (every time!) of seeing an alligator, and any venture in Harbour Town is fun (anyone remember Café Europa?)! We’re usually at HH in March and October, but unfortunately, not this year. Loved the pics and seeing familiar things. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you sooo much for sharing. Beautiful family. Adorable boys! My spirit is lifted and I smile. I love the low country where we have enjoyed not only HHI but also Edisto and Kiawah, Jekyll and St Simons. Missing our family in Georgia and look forward to when we can safely go. Maybe even stop by for a cup of coffee or better a glass of iced tea! 😊

I am glad you had a good time in beauty Hilton Head. Please make your readers aware of the new beach regulations this year. They include banning metal shovels, regulating the size of holes that can be dug, and requiring all holes to be filled in prior to sunset or when you leave the beach for the day. Turtles and people need to be safe and share the beach. Please consider doing a post about how to enjoy the beach and protect it and its wildlife for the future. Thank you
