New Vintage Rug Runner For the Kitchen

in Lifestyle on 04/26/21

When we moved in to our new home nearly four years ago, hands down my favorite spot was the kitchen. I loved the large-and-in-charge kitchen island, the orientation of the kitchen to the living space, and all of the beautiful details and finishes that went into the kitchen remodel. Even four years later, this space remains the heart of our home and serves us well daily. However, after four years of living here, I was getting the itch to make some changes. Nothing major, just a few updates to freshen things up. Two major updates I had on my list to update were replace the the runner and get new barstools and I also wanted to find a few new accessories.

As far as smaller changes, I recently added a lamp near the sink and found a pair of topiaries to flank the sink. Once those small changes were made, it was time to tackle one of the bigger updates- the rug runner.

This new vintage runner from REVIVAL makes such a big update in here and I just love all of the colors and character it adds to the space. Isn’t it so pretty?

I had the hardest time choosing from REVIVAL large rug selection and finally landed on this one with reds, blues and browns. When it arrived it was love at first sight! If you are in the market for a vintage rug, I highly recommend REVIVAL. They had such a great selection and I thrilled that they are providing Southern State of Mind reader’s with the promo code SOUTHERNHEATHER10 for 10% off your purchase!

You can shop their Vintage collection HERE and their Turkish Collection HERE. When shopping, you can narrow down choices by size and colors. They are constantly adding new vintage rugs to their inventory so if for some reason you don’t find “the one” right away keep checking!

Warning- it is very addictive to look through all of the vintage rugs. They truly are all so unique and each one is filled with character. It’s so hard to decide! Each vintage rug is given a name so you can easily find it again on their website. Plus, since it has a name it immediately feels like one of your family members. 🙂  I poured over every option multiple times but after days of looking, I finally decided on this Eduardo Vintage Turkish Runner Rug for the kitchen.

Hello Eduardo. Welcome home.

Once I made my selection, the rug arrived quickly and was packaged to perfection!

This new rug really has made things feel so fresh in the kitchen. If you are inspired to add a vintage rug to your house – REVIVAL is offering all Southern State of Mind readers  10% off discount code! Use code SOUTHERNHEATHER10 and you can shop here at  Revival’s site .  Plus they offer free shipping on orders over $50!

xoxo-

Heather

In several of your kitchen photos, I’ve noticed you have those beautiful salt and pepper shakers that look like tiny little blue and white garden stools. Do you know where I could purchase those. I just love them. Thanks CarolI

Aren’t those fun? They were my husband’s grandmothers- they are vintage blue willow salt and pepper shakers. I didn’t find a current listing on etsy- here is one that has sold: https://rstyle.me/+O9C5WIdV7WgaJ_WIYLaEfw

lamp on the kitchen counter also! Adds a little more blue!
