Pool Noodle Popsicle Banner

in create, Dollar Store Crafts, Easy DIY, entertain, Holiday Crafts, holidays, Holidays and Parties, Summer on 05/30/18

It’s official. I am 100% certain that anything red, white and blue is just so stinking cute. But I must admit that I am super smitten with this Dollar Tree project- a Popsicle Garland! This garland would be so fun for a popsicle party, a popsicle themed birthday party or a pool party idea.  Not only did this Popsicle Party Banner only cost me $3, it took around 10 minutes to make and turned out super cute. That is the DIY trifecta y’all!

In case you missed it, last week I shared our End of School Year Popsicle Party.  This has become a tradition that I hope we can continue for years to come and such a fun way to end the school year with the boys. When I hopped into the Dollar Tree to come up with this month’s project, the pool noodles screamed at me “hey make me into a popsicle” and I knew it would be a perfect addition to our popsicle party!

Here is a video of me making it:

Popsicle Party DIY Decor - Popsicle Themed Birthday Party

This Popsicle Party DIY Decor banner was super simple to assemble and only took a few supplies.

Popsicle Party Banner SUPPLIES NEEDED:

  • Red Pool Noodle (from Dollar Tree)
  • Blue Pool Noodle (from Dollar Tree)
  • Popsicle Sticks (from Dollar Tree)
  • White Duct Tape (already had at house)
  • Twine (already had at house)

Popsicle Party DIY Popsicle Banner

To start, cut the pool noodle using your regular scissors. I was able to make both garlands using only one red noodle and blue noodle.

DIY Decor

Once you have your noodle cut,  just stab the bottom of the noodle piece with your scissors to create a slit and then insert the popsicle stick.

Pool Party Ideas

Once you have your “popsicles”, you can use the white duct tape to tape them to the twine.

Bomb Pop Banner DIY

I happened to have some white duct tape and used the smaller leftover pieces to add the white tape. Yay for a BOMB POP version to match our popsicles for the party.

Rocket Popsicle

I mean- look how cute this  Popsicle Party DIY Decor banner is with the Bomb Pop or Rocket Popsicle colors!

Happy Summer!
