Primary Bedroom Makeover || The Statement Wall & Bed Nook

in HOME on 05/20/23

OK, nobody freak out but it’s week 7 of the 8 week One Room Challenge!  I know, I know- I’m a bit behind in getting this update out but welcome to MAYHEM. It’s crazy and busy and I am crawling to the last day of school finish line. I wouldn’t trade any of it- but it sure does make pulling a room together a bit of a challenge. But I am still optimistic that I will be able to share the final reveal as scheduled this Thursday!

Today I am sharing an update that makes me so so so so incredibly happy! I am thrilled to report that a big project is complete this week in our bedroom- the statement wallpaper wall in the bed nook. I still have quite a bit to do to pull this area together but I am loving the way it is all coming together.

Primary Bedroom Makeover

The Before

If you missed it, here is the before of this area in the bedroom.

And here we are today!

This space has had quite a big change. From the bed, to the valance, to the light fixture and of course- the wallpaper statement wall. As I mentioned above- I still need to tweak it and pull it all together  (is that mirror too big or is it just me?!? and don’t mind the empty frames! ) but I do love the way it is coming together. It just has so much more swagger and personality. And a cute dog helps make everything better, right?

We ordered the bed from Pottery Barn (linked here) and I love the way the canopy helps fill the space. It took FOREVER AND EVER to come in but I think it was worth it! This room is oddly large so I think big furniture really helps to fill the space and make it feel more cozy.

The wallpaper came from Tempaper. I installed it over a couple of days and it is seriously SO beautiful in person. These pictures were quickly snapped on my phone and don’t do it justice. The wallpaper has a grasscloth texture and is called Fans Neutral Bronze Peel and Stick Wallpaper. It was easy to put up and really helps give this room a focal point.

And last but not least- the chandelier is definitely one of my new favorite pieces in here- the Generation Lighting Ellen DeGeneres Jane 5-Light Black & Brass Chandelier.  It is so fun!

Alright- I am off to give this sweet girl a quick walk then we are off to swim team practice and a baseball playoff game… wish me luck finding a few minutes to finish this space and check back in a few days for the final reveal!
