Welcome friends and welcome SUMMER! Today I am sharing some snapshots of summer around the house. Of course, if you are familiar with me then you already know that means lots of my favorite go-to blues, a dose of citrus and a few pops of orange. If you are coming over from My 100 Year Old Home welcome! Come on in and let’s see what summer looks like here at Peach Valley.
Let’s start on the front porch, which is one of my favorite spots in the house! If you are from around here, then you know I recently started a new series called Front Porch Coffee Talk where we just pretend we are two friends chit-chatting on the porch every Friday morning discussing whatever is on our mind. If you are just stopping in, I would love for you to join us each week.
STRIPED SUNDRESS | YELLOW STATEMENT EARRINGS | GREEN BUFFALO CHECK RUG
| SANDALS | LEMON WREATH | LEOPARD RUG
Alright, now let’s move towards the kitchen but first just take a quick look at the staircase. Take note, IT IS CLEAN! Ha, ha. Also, I added some fun new art here and it is just perfect for summer. I absolutely love the colors, and the pop of orange!
POOLSIDE PIANO ART | STAIR BASKET | BENCH
I am borrowing the pair of paprika benches from the dining room for the living room this summer. It’s so fun to have these versatile pieces that can float around. I love this pop of color here!
Now, I do realize that you are probably not *quite* as excited about me that the staircase is actually clean for once, so let’s just move on to the kitchen.
Ahhhhh. Orange you glad it’s summer? 🙂 I am! And so I popped some oranges in vases, added some blue hydrangea clippings from the yard and then a few magnolia leave stems.
GLASS VASE | FAUX MAGNOLIA STEMS | FAUX ORANGES | FAUX HYDRANGEAS
This sweet little kitchen island centerpiece just makes me smile every time I walk in the kitchen and the only cost was a bag of oranges and a bag of mandarins since the flowers and magnolias were compliments of the yard.
Here is a wider view from the other side of the room. The orange and coral are just so fun for summer!
I also had some fun collecting my various topiaries from around the house and putting them in the kitchen window.
Alright, so now let’s take a look at some snapshots of the other side of the living room…
Of course, it wouldn’t be a summer tour without some oysters around here. This summer, I made some fun oyster art in a shadow box. I’ll be sharing a tutorial for this later in the week.
Last, but not least, I have to share a snapshot of our front porch for Memorial Day. I just love this bunting here and can’t wait to put it back up for July!
Looking for more snapshots of summer? Be sure to take a look at all of the blogs linked below! Next on the stop is All Things with Purpose. Can’t wait to check out all of the inspiration!
In a Summer State of Mind,

Thank You Krista! And thank you so much for putting this together.
Your island is always looking so cheery!! And your oyster art vignette is beautiful. And I definitely took notice of the clean stairs. It feels nearly impossible to keep it that way around here especially in the Summer. Love it all 🙂
What a beautiful home! I love it so much!
Hello! What size are these vases and where did you purchase them? I would love to do something like this for my wedding but I’m having trouble finding vases like these. Thanks!
