Spruce Up Your Kitchen- New Art

Howdy-ho! Did you take a look around your kitchen yesterday? Either you are loving me for motivating you to clear the clutter… or cursing me for pointing it out. Ha. You’re welcome???

Today’s post- new art for the kitchen
Well, actually this art is not new. We have actually had it since we got married. 

But it’s new to this wall, so let’s go ahead and call it new, mmmkay?

To rewind, here is the before: 
I made this cute large and in charge pic of little P for his first birthday. I hung it here for the birthday party. And here it has hung for 2.5 years. Whoops.

Now with baby number 2 here it just didn’t feel right leaving this little shrine up of the big brother. Somewhere along the way I also removed all of the shelves and this side cabinet has looked like this for who knows how long. 

Oh, except for the baby wipes.

Nothing a little shopping the house can’t fix!

I pulled out the cookbooks from the pantry for the bottom shelf. I had these two baskets on hand and they fit perfectly in the top shelves. They are holding the above wipes along with tissues and bibs. Pretty and FUNCTIONAL!

On a side note…We’ve had this leather stools for years and they are starting to split so these might be the next thing to purchase. I just hate buying new furniture with two little boys in the house! I like the industrial looking ones, but not so sure my tooshy will like them. Do you have bar stools you love? Do tell!

Not bad for a no-spend update if-I-do-say-so-myself.
