Hi there! Hope you are having a great week and staying cool in this summer heatwave. It has been a steamy couple days in Atlanta and the boys and I pretty much stayed inside resting up for our next adventure.
After our staycation at home this past weekend, we are back in travel mode and actually arrived at the beach yesterday. We are so fortunate to be here for a MONTH! Somebody pinch me. The boys and I are staying with my parents down in Florida and I will share our shenanigans with you along the way. This is our third summer we’ve been able to enjoy this escapade and has become a wonderful tradition. We will miss the Big Sweet, but I am excited to spend the days soaking up my boys and the Florida sunshine!
Since we are in full summer mode around here, today I have a super simple summer snack idea that anyone will love:
Watermelon Popsicles!
Actually, it is really just sliced watermelon on a stick but I don’t think there is a Popsicle police so let’s just call it what we want mmmmmkay?
For my “Popsicles” I started with cutting wedges from a whole watermelon. Then I used the point of a steak knife to insert a sliver in the center of each rind. Then I just inserted the Popsicle stick in that small sliver. (I found my fun colorful sticks at the Dollar Tree, they also had the standard light wood colored ones as well.)
Yay for Five Minute Fridays- and in this case probably more like 30 seconds.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend soaking up family and sunshine wherever you are…and hopefully enjoying your cute Watermelon Popsicles too!
Xoxo-
Heather
