Hey there and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed some nice weather this weekend in your neck of the woods- we had some seriously amazing spring weather here in Atlanta. Y’all, I can’t even believe I have only posted three times here on the blog in 2018! We are drinking from a fire hose these days and blog life is definitely taking a back seat to mom life. But that’s ok because mom life is pretty rad and I am trying my best to enjoy the ride. As always, thanks for your grace and support.
Sometimes when I’m not in blogging mode it’s hard to know where to start to get back into the groove. Since mom life has been absorbing my time I figured I would start with a weekend recap / brain dump. I have been wanting to share more personal happenings on the blog anyway! So here we go…
Life has been hectic and I have been struggling to sit down to blog, let alone have much to blog about. But this spring weather is getting me inspired and I have some fun spring things I plan to share in the coming weeks. I am also participating in a 4 week bathroom update challenge this March so lots of good stuff will be going on in our guest bathroom. This is what the bathroom currently looks like and I can’t wait to get my hands on it.
Today kicks off our winter break and we are supposed to be surprising our boys and heading down to my parent’s beach house for a last minute getaway. So of course, one of the kiddos went down with a fever yesterday. We are playing it all by ear and hoping this is not the flu. I spent Saturday secretly packing which proved to be an interesting task! I am itching to wear some spring clothes (hello white jeans, I’ve missed you)- and especially this cute top. It’s on sale for $17 and I love it paired with white jeans and these hot pink tassel earrings (under $8!)

I obviously have spring on the brain and have been working on getting the front porch spruced up. It’s amazing how quickly things can look drab in January and February. I found this adorable gingham door mat for under $20 and grabbed a cheap Ikea door mat to layer on top of it with a knock off of this cute one from Draper James. (I’ll use the same method I used here) Have you seen the layered door mat look? I love it and can’t wait to try it!
Sweet P started baseball this spring and I don’t know who is more excited, me or him. We have tried all of the sports but I can already tell this one is going to be my favorite. I have a feeling I will be sitting up at these fields for many hours in the coming years and I just love that sweet little statue.
After baseball I dragged all the boys to Patagonia for a new baseball hat as I really am trying to keep the sun off my face these days. I was super pumped that I found one for 50% off. (Don’t mind the boys playing hide and seek.) I think they are getting rid of old inventory because there are lots of good Patagonia trucker hats on sale HERE -many under $20!- if you are in the market.
Last but not least, the boys did some finger painting for me and I am in LOVE with the way it turned out. I will be back on Thursday with all of the details.
Alright, prayers, good luck dust and every single finger and toe crossed that little man doesn’t have the flu and we can still head out of town. Hope you have a great day!
xoxo-

Both of my kids are in college now but baseball season from little league all the way through high school were some of the most fun times ever! I always said that the little league park was the 2nd “happiest place on earth”. My son played, my daughter announced, I scored, and my husband coached. It was a family affair. Enjoy because it really does go very quickly!

Aw! I love that it was a family affair. I may have to use that “2nd happiest place on earth” line! 🙂
