{3 Ways} Wear Winter White

in style on 01/12/17

Happy almost weekend! Thank you SO MUCH for those of you that responded to the 2017 Reader Survey. Y’all are so sweet to provide your thoughts, and I loved reading some of your comments. Thank you, thank you, thank you! (and it’s still open if you’d like to take a minute now to fill it out)

Down here in Atlanta white jeans are a staple for me around 9 months of the year. I rock my white jeans from March-September and definitely do not follow the whole no white before Memorial Day or after Labor Day. I mean who even came up with such a dumb fashion rule anyway? It is HOT here in May and I think we can all agree that September is still summer down south. (even though we all pretend fall is in the air by chugging PSL and burning pumpkin candles am-I-right?)

How To Wear Winter White

I am not opposed to wearing them in January, but it can be hard to pull them in the dead of winter. So what does a white-jean-loving-girl do in the winter months? How about shifting the bright white to a winter white?! This year I can’t get enough of this off-white color and today I am going to show you how I shopped my closet to create three different ways to rock it. You can pretty much find me in three different modes at any time: carpool, errands or date night so I showed a look for each of these. If I am being honest, I am usually in carpool mode but the date nights do happen too so a girl must always be prepared. 🙂

I shopped my closet to create each of these outfits and I hope you find inspiration to shop your closet as well! I did try to source some of the items for you if interested with links below.

First up, errand mode. This is a notch above carpool mode and several notches below date night.  I layered two winter whites with my go-to chambray button down.

Next up, date night mode. I like the contrast of the black and then the bling and my furrrr. I hadn’t pulled out this vest yet this winter so I was happy to find a new way to wear it. The necklace was a splurge from J Crew this year, but I have already worn it SO MANY TIMES so it has definitely paid off.

This is how you will find me most days… carpool mode. Topknot and coffee in hand. This is what I would throw on *if* I make it out of my leggings. White can be intimidating if you have little ones, but that is what the washing machine is for. I did however change out of my outfit the other night before I fed them spaghetti because I am not THAT crazy.

So do you have a thing for white jeans? Only 2-3 more months until you will find me in my white jeans staple but for now the winter white is holding me over perfectly.

NOW GO SHOP YOUR CLOSET LADIES!

xoxo-

Heather
