Front Porch Coffee Talk

Hello my friends! How was your week? We have been DRAGGING over here trying to get back into a rhythm after the time change and spring break. Let’s say the coffee has been flowing around here and I am thrilled to have a few weekend days to sleep in.  It’s also been a bit of an emotional week thinking about how it has been a full year in these crazy times. But enough about that! Grab your coffee and let’s have our weekly Front Porch Coffee Talk . 

 

WATCHED LATELY

I forgot to share two great movies I watched on the plane during our travel:

Call of the Wild- I think we all know this story, but it had been a very long time and I couldn’t remember what happens. Just loved this remake so much and made my whole family watch it for family movie night when we got home.

Little Women- We all know this one too! I had almost forgot a new Little Women was released in 2019 and somehow had not seen it yet. Wow- SO good! Since watching the movie I have added this book to my “to-be-read” list now. 

NEIGHBORHOOD BOOK CLUB

Well, this was a year in the making but it F-I-N-A-L-L-Y happened! A year ago right as the pandemic hit, we were trying to get a neighborhood book club up and running. Obviously it fizzled out but I am just so happy that it was resurrected this month. For our first book we read Dear Edward.  A very quick read it. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. 

Next month we chose to read The Vanishing Half which I am super excited about! Have you read it yet? What is next on your list to be read?

 

BIRTHDAY

Well another pandemic birthday has come and gone! My boys spoiled me perfectly on Tuesday and it was a fun and festive week celebrating my birthday. And I am SO thankful that it was not day one of a pandemic shutdown like last year. 🙂
