With the boys home for the summer, lots of travel and just general back to school hooplah I haven’t been able to catch my breath. While I really enjoyed unplugging I also miss checking in here with you for a coffee talk and hope to be able get back into a blog rhythm again. What have you been up to? FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Well it has been a few weeks since school started for us and we officially have a fourth and first grader. It came with all the feels for me and they were both excited to head back. I pray for their happiness and healthy in person learning all year.

GAME DAY STYLE

College football officially kicks off this weekend! Do you have any plans to watch or attend? I shared a full post on cute Amazon looks I rounded up a few weeks ago. It’s still a million degrees here so these cute dresses with sneakers really do make the perfect look! Both boys are playing flag football this fall so our weekends are filling up quick, but I do hope we can make it to a few Georgia Tech football games. BINGING LATELY

Back to school brought back to school germs around here. I was recently down for a few days with the “crud” and found myself knocked out in bed. Sadly gone are the days where you just hunker down when you have cold symptoms and three negative covid tests later I was deemed having a sinus infection. It has been so long since I have been sick and it took me down! The bright side is that I binged the entire SERIES of Anne with an E. I had started it a few times but it didn’t hook me before. I just loved the sweet stories of Anne’s adventures around Green Gables.

I haven’t done much around the house to phase into a more cozy fall feeling but I did find these fun antelope print pillows on Amazon. They come in a 2 pack for $21 and I love the little inexpensive change.

LABOR DAY FESTIVITIES

We hosted a small luncheon last weekend for some friends that came into town and I served this slow cooker pulled pork that I shared in the spring. If you are hosting for the holiday weekend this would be a great thing to have in the crock pot!
