MILLIE UPDATE

Thank you for all the sweet comments about our new furbaby Millie. If you missed the update- you can read all about our new addition here. We are finding our rhythm with having her around and it has been a fun adventure so far one week in. She definitely has lots of puppy energy but is already proving to be a wonderful snuggly lap dog which is the perfect combination.

CHAPEL HILL

In my mind I’m going to Carolina… well actually I am really going to Carolina! We are Chapel Hill bound this weekend for a casual reunion of friends- hard to believe it has been 15 years since we lived in Chapel Hill. The forecast is calling for perfect Carolina Blue skies and I am beyond excited to catch up with my girlfriends. We lived there back when my husband was in graduate school and it was one of the highlights of our marriage!

1980 Babies!

Where are my fellow 1980 babies? As if I already don’t have a reminder of how fast the years go by, this stopped me in my tracks. Yikes.

COVID CARE PACKAGE

My sweet friends went down last week and I dropped a little something by their house for well wishes. Fortunately everyone is A-OK and back in school but I hope this loaf of banana bread and Gatorade brought them a smile.

FALL HAPPINESS

I had to snap this picture with all of my current fall happies! The purple mums, the plaid rug, the pumpkins in my planters, a new fun blouse that I found at Marshalls and a DIY manicure! I bought this nail polish as a treat for myself during the 2020 lockdown so it will forever remind me of that timeframe (which by the way I strangely have a positive memory of at this point but that’s for another day). The color is Orchiding Aside (found it here)– and I can usually get it to last about 5 days – which for me is a win!

FALL HOME TOUR

CUTE FALL LAYER

I shared this cute Olive Star Jacket in my Let’s Go Shopping round up last week, but I got mine and wore it last week. Love this fun layer – it’s the classic olive color for fall but with a little something something. I wore it over a casual black day dress and sneakers. I always think that if you wear something right away when you get it- it’s a winner because so many times I buy stuff and it just hangs in my closet! (I am also packing it for our trip this weekend.)
