Today I thought I would share a little home update post because after a hectic summer full of travel, there really isn’t anything better than being home, sweet, home. No major updates, just an impromptu tour of a clean house after the kids went to school last week. Ahhhhhhhh…hear that? Me neither!
FRONT PORCH
The ferns are thriving this summer and I am still loving our front doormat. And the faux boxwood wreath is two years strong.
The porch swing is also still getting used on the regular! Can’t wait to decorate it for fall!
KITCHEN
Clipped some hydrangeas from the yard. I’ve had my eyes open for some new barstools but haven’t landed on anything I love yet so these thrifted temporary ones are still in the mix.
FAMILY ROOM
Feels so good to have all of the summer clutter gone! Need to rework the built-ins but that is a project for another day.
POWDER ROOM
Found a new piece of art on a thrift store pop in for $13. I love the pop of color in here!
BLOG HEADQUARTERS
After having piles and piles of papers piled up from the summer, I am thrilled that my desk is free and clear of clutter. Makes me laugh to call it my Blog HQ- so official, right? I am so so so thankful for this little nook. I also hung my little fly fishing painting that I found in Sun Valley. You can read more about this space HERE.
BACKYARD
The limelight hydrangeas are at an all time peak right now. I also LOVE this bench addition to the back yard. It was my Mother’s Day present.
PRIMARY BEDROOM
It was a whirlwind getting our primary bedroom whipped together this past spring. If you missed it, you can read up on the 8 week transformation and final reveal HERE. I still smile when I walk in here just knowing this room is done! Not sure why it took 6 years- but happy to have this room done now.

BOYS BATHROOM
Moving along to the boys bathroom! As we have been trying to find our back to school routine, I am so thankful to have their bathroom done so they can really have their own space in the mornings. They had been using our shower and that just was not going to cut it. This was a big undertaking last fall and we went without a bathroom for a few months. But so worth it! You can read up on the process HERE.

GUEST ROOM
This space got lots of use this summer and I hope to continue having it filled with guests! The only new thing here is this fun gingham lampshade I found. You can read more on this “Southern Boutique Hotel Room” inspired room makeover and sources HERE.
Glad to have snapped some pictures in the rare window that it was all clean. I know I will be itching to add some fall updates and then Halloween soon!
XOXO-
Heather
