Hello Fall! Front Porch + Pumpkin Topiaries

in Lifestyle on 09/26/13

Picture this:

It’s April.
I am walking out of the Goodwill carrying two huge shopping bags.
The bags are full of fake orange pumpkins.

Now, picture this:
It’s September.
I pull those bags of pumpkins out of the attic.
I give them a quick coat of Rustoleum Heirloom White spray paint.
I grab a couple dowel rods for less than $2,
And I stack them up to create a topiary!

Then I grab a couple mums from Home Depot.

And some planters from around the house.

Funny craft fail story:
I actually started with 3 pumpkins on each side….

But every time I looked at them I could only think of Frosty the Snowman.
So I had to change them up a bit.

That’s my fall front porch… for now!
Best part is that it was all done for about $20 including the mums.
I will definitely add some Halloween touches once we get a little closer!

Frosty the Snowman, huh? That's too funny!

I love that you scored fake pumpkins in April. The topiaries look great on your front porch!

    Happy Fall!

Great job! I love the ribbon around the bottom of the pumpkins. I may need to do that to jazz up my white pumpkin, he looks kinda sad right now.

How smart are you to have bought pumpkins in the spring at GW? They turned out beautiful! Love the entire porch!
