Say Hello To Piper

in Lifestyle on 04/05/22

Yesterday I shared that we went out of town for a quick family getaway… but what I didn’t share was that I was jokingly calling it our “(fur)baby-moon” because we had a special stop to make on our way back home! An extra special stop to pick up an extra special pup…

Say hello to Piper Love!

It was a rough couple of weeks back in February and March when we had to tragically say goodbye to our 9 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. (you can read up here if you missed it) Obviously, we were completely devastated and heartbroken to have to say goodbye to such a sweet pup at such a young age. But deep down in my mama heart I just knew the best medicine would be just jump right back in to the puppy fun.

As a family we decided it would be too weird to get another Cavalier. So it was back to the drawing board. And this time I was really leaning towards a mini Goldendoodle.

So while we were on spring break I texted every friend I knew that had a Goldendoodle. I reached out to countless breeders and scoured the potential upcoming litters from Mobile to Ohio to Tennessee to Florida and back.

Then I found her. The timing was perfect. She was nearby in North Georgia. And she was adorable.

Once we had her arrival date, we quickly decided to make a weekend of it which made it all feel extra special. We had a BALL picking her up on Sunday because we got to meet two of her sisters. They were all such lovebugs and I am not sure how we left without all three.

Piper is already settling in nicely and we are finding our groove. She has quickly learned that there will be lots of carpool runs and crazy boys in her future and I think she is quite alright about that!

Dogs are the best medicine. 🙂

xoxo-

Heather

Thank you so much! The entire experience has really made us bond and turned out to be a somewhat “positive” thing!

Such a cutie! Would you mind sharing where you got her from? I’ve been striking out finding breeders that don’t seem sketchy or really far away and we live in North Georgia.

She is adorable! My brother and SIL just got two Golden Doodle puppies (he is in TX) and my DIL’s mom has bred them for years (we are in MD). They are great dogs. Enjoy!

She is adorable..and yes ! Dogs make everything better!
I am saddened that you chose not to give a shelter dog a chance however. Their very life depends on it…

Yes, we considered it and we donate to our local rehoming group called Releash Atlanta which does wonderful things for rescues! However, we ultimately decided that adopting wasn’t the best option for our family at this time. Thanks.

Good to hear that you support your local rescues. Saving the lives of shelter dogs is my passion..they are beyond deserving and they own my heart. Happily I’m finding that more people with kind hearts and open minds are adopting also….and thank you.
